Democrats denounce Trump's military plans and then vote to fund them.

149 Democrats included AOC, Ilhan Omar, Hakeem Jeffries, and Jasmine Crockett, all voted to increase military spending as Trump is poised to attack Greenland.

Not much of an opposition party if you don't oppose anything.
149 House Democrats help pass military spending bill. “The 341-88 passage of the $828.7 billion fiscal 2026 military spending bill came over the objections of progressives who warned that the bill... is a tacit endorsement of [Trump’s aggressive] policies..." www.commondreams.org/news/democra...

This condescending assumption that the cost of living is all Americans care about.

Is it partly a tell? That the elites are trying to squeeze the rest of us so hard that we can't fight back on core issues like fascism, economic justice, protecting the vulnerable, lifting up the oppressed...?
It is all the rage at every kitchen table I'm at. We all talk about how Trump increased our grocery bill but we've been really inspired by the Democrats clear plans to address this.

Unless they are stopped, all the worst things that Trump and the Republican Party are going to do are in the future, not the past.

This makes stopping them the highest priority for the future of human life on the planet.

Legal challenges continue to mount for the Trump administration over its ongoing immigration operation in Minnesota, where the fatal shooting of Nicole Good last week triggered days of sometimes violent protests.

I know people on Bsky know this but I hope it filters out: The feds are OCCUPYING the Twin Cities. This is a blockade, a siege. They are shutting down economic and civic activity. They are conducting "papers please" stops. They are criminalizing being a bystander/witness.

You could be next.

We already toyed with this with the Tyranny article but I am fine with just straight up copying this and putting this into an impeachment article.

Why not? Would be a great 250th anniversary present.
He really is doing all of it.

ken did a really great thread here that nicely articulates why i block doomers.

the only thing i’ll add is this: doomerism is a form of voter suppression. saying shit like “there won’t be elections” is saying there’s no point in fighting. it’s demotivating. fuck that.
This kind of thing does point out a real ethical dilemma: block or mute?

WSJ investigation: In the past 6 months ICE agents have fired at vehicles 13 times, leading to:

* 8 people shot
* 5 of which were U.S. citizens
* 2 died
* no victims drew a weapon

The playbook: Agents box in a vehicle, block attempts to flee, then fire

Like in the years 1930’s, France is right but is too weak to act alone. We need german support face Poutine like the british support face Hitler.

Cosigned by a descendent of a Mayflower immigrant on one side of the family, and a Revolutionary War captain on the other.
All you need to know to realize “Heritage American” is racist bullshit is those who use the term don’t include Black descendants of enslaved people. (Which I say as someone whose ancestry here traces to the 1600s and includes a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a Revolutionary War hero.)
For those not following at home, “Heritage American” is a category of white supremacy covering people whose ancestors were white folks who were pioneers.

Here it is:

"Resolved, That Andrew Johnson, President of the United States, be impeached of high crimes and misdemeanors."

That's it.

The total goes up to 92% if you include support for the continuation of Medicare and Medicaid.

Only 7% said there should be no government involvement of any kind in health care coverage.
