Why am I not surprised that the only mention of evictions in this piece concerns tourists getting booted out of units because the company folded, and not the dozens of tenants (that we know about) who were evicted over the years so their landlords could cash in on STRs. www.nola.com/news/busines...
This company was once New Orleans' biggest short-term rental operator. It just shut down.
Once one of the largest short-term rental operators in New Orleans, Sonder shut down Monday amid financial troubles and the termination of a licensing deal with Marriott. Dozens of hotel rooms across ...

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

This is a landslide. The last NYC mayoral candidate to clear 1 million votes was John Lindsay—over 50 years ago. It will be dismissed by pundits saying it can only happen in New York. That's garbage. Think pledging to freeze rent and offer childcare won't resonate in Nevada? Wisconsin? Texas?

This is clown behavior from @repdexteror.bsky.social. An elected official gentling scolding other elected officials to “lead” on difficult issues without having the conviction (or, in her framing, COURAGE) to actually say what they think the correct policies ARE. www.oregonlive.com/opinion/2025...
