Been watching the Metroidvania video by Critical Kate - although it's known now that Link To The Past inspired Symphony Of The Night, I didn't know Igarashi actually namedropped Metroid multiple times. Nice to have it in writing.

I don't think there's anything wrong with watching children's cartoons I think if you base your identity off of children's cartoons you will never be able to create a version of yourself that isn't a child, and that's what capitalists want of you, because children are harmless and easily exploitable
