Surprised so few people are talking about this. Internet Anarchist, a big YouTuber with 1.85 million subscribers just got accused of very credible (and multiple) instance of plagiarism.

This sounds like a completely made up number by a company justifying its own flagrant use of generative AI.
Level-5's CEO claims that 80-90% of game coding is written by AI now.

The studio has disclosed that they extensively use AI, from everything from game code, assets, and character idea, dialogue, and narrative, which is then refined by humans.

Vibe-based politics but the vibes are rancid.
will note, neither for the first nor the last time, that this admin from top to bottom has zero message discipline and no coherent communications strategy whatsoever, everyone’s freelancing, all the time

Me, an idiot: LLMs are black boxes that are prone to hallucinate and output misinformation that are developed by corporations and other entities with vested interests and unknown influences that can manipulate what they say, what they omit and what data they are trained on.

You, a genius:

AAA games launching unoptimised, ram prices going through the roof, what a great combo.

*approaches shady-looking guy on street-corner*

"so..you got the stuff?"

"yeah, I've got it, the good shit too"

*opens jacket to reveal lining full of ram sticks*

"8gb, 16gb, Corsair, Kingston and-" *drops voice low, conspiratorially*

"-some Crucial too, for the more..discerning customer"
seeing some reports saying RAM shortage could last til 2028

It's surreal to witness a large-scale government cover-up in real time that everyone knows is happening and that politicians seem to have little will or power to stop. I don't think the US has ever looked quite as feeble and weak as it has done under Trump's presidency.

Altman is such a fucking fraud that he's just openly admitting now it's a data collection exercise. These companies just want your data. It's always been about getting your data. They're not profitable so all the can do is consume. Consume energy. Consume memory, consume data. Frauds.

That's why even in a best case scenario Firefox is still dependent on Google for its existence.

The only reason Google haven't pulled the plug is that they're not a threat to Chrome's dominance given Firefox has a small dwindling share of the market, which will only get smaller with this AI pivot.
TIL that 85% of Mozilla's revenue comes from Google

Steam should put the AI usage disclosures at the top of game descriptions. Certainly would save some pointless scrolling.

Someone probably should've told Bari that the culture war moved on from the "free marketplace of ideas" shtick some time post-2016.
CNN has a show with a similar line. That the problem with this country is we just aren’t talking to each other.

It’s the kind of diagnosis that a toddler would land on.

I like gambling in video games as a risk-reward mechanic but I've never been much of a real world gambler. I think my pessimistic attitude kind of inoculates me against getting into it. I've partaken on extremely rare occasions, gone "huh, I guess that was a little fun" and never touched it again.

"Combatting the dangerousness of the right by posting on twitter" when Elon pulls the strings is some goofy stuff. The entire platform is geared towards maximising the engagement of the absolute worst people imaginable.

He's more than welcome to post exclusively over there if he likes though.
These people want leftist and liberals to come back to Twitter so badly. They give all kinds of reasons, but the fact is without them the Nazi bar marinates in its own juices and they can't stand it.

When the AI bubble bursts and companies come crawling back to customers with their "we see and hear you" spiel I certainly hope people give them a heartfelt "go fuck yourselves".
