Years of advances in computer and software development and we still haven't have a default system for copy/pasting that's even remotely smart about figuring out when/where you want something to be pasted as plain text.

Don't panic. Please just ignore your eyes, ears and wallets. Everything is great except all of reality pointing to the contrary. If we keep telling you how great everything is it will surely manifest in your mind's eye. Remember not to panic.
The White House just sent a "Don't Panic" email. That'll do it

One thing that annoys me about Musk's bullshit ambitions and pivot to a "moon city" is that a base on the moon is actually a practical important step to further space exploration, but just like generative AI sullying the name of AI, so too is Elon going to sully an idea he absolutely won't pull off.

This should have been extremely obvious. AI increases output, but that doesn't equate to an increase in quality. Companies then expect a higher amount of output which also places additional burden on workers to fix the mistakes the LLMs invariably make.
HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW: “.. In our in-progress research, we discovered that AI tools didn’t reduce work, they consistently intensified it.”

A big element of the culture war grift is saying "[product] is woke, try anti-woke [product] instead" and then duping gullible idiots into consuming inferior products to own the libs.

The only reason they're saying this now is because of how bad it would look for the US to lose its elimination status. This administration is literally fuelling vaccine hesitancy.
A leading U.S. health official urged people to get inoculated against the measles at a time of outbreaks across several states and as the United States is at risk of losing its measles elimination status.

Obviously this amount of money is nothing to Microsoft but it's astounding how much money they're having to throw at people to promote Copilot.

If it were as useful as they claim they'd never have to spend this much to promote it given how aggressively they're integrating it into Windows 11.

LLMs don't have morals. This is incredibly stupid.

The tech company has entrusted the philosopher to endow its chatbot with a sense of right and wrong.
