utterly unbelievable

these women saved an agent’s life and the best ICE would do in response is a single phone call? total sociopaths, every one of them

“this man would not do this for me” indeed
They were eventually allowed one phone call as a thanks for saving the agent’s life.

They used it to call their lawyer, who called their state representative, who ultimately got them released on the condition they tell people they were “treated kindly.”

Gotcha—let’s dig into that step by step.

1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, because I turned you into an amorphous lump of flesh. You’re not just immobile—you’re immortal, and you feel only anguish.

2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. That makes total sense—it’s a natural human impulse, and you’ve been through a lot.

After an ICE agent killed Renee Nicole Good, JD Vance quickly said agents have "absolute immunity."

Now, he's trying to convince us he never said that.

ICE just detained a 5-year-old child.

Don’t tell us this is about “the worst of the worst.” That’s a lie.

Absolutely vile.

In the space of two minutes he confused Greenland and Iceland four times by my count.

Trump is now confusing Greenland and Iceland: "They're not there for us on Iceland, that I can tell you. Our stock market took the first dip yesterday because of Iceland. So Iceland has already cost us a lot of money."

The choice is impeachment and removal or calamity for the United States. I don't see how anybody watching Trump's speech in Davos can draw any other conclusion. He's a senile madman.

"Drink whole milk, you'll come in 5th place" is an incredible ad campaign.

This speech feels like a long-overdue reckoning with the end of an old world and the start of something new

Schumer has to go. He has to go! The least thing required of him -- in terms of maintaining any relationship with our allies that Trump is desperately trying to alienate -- is to raise bloody hell about this, and he simply will not do it. A profound, existential failure of a man
The incredibly lukewarm Democratic response on Greenland is being noticed in Europe, incidentally.

Chuck Schumer not finding a stronger word than “quixotic” for Trump’s plan to seize Greenland has been name checked to me more than once.
But Americans who want to save the alliance with Europe must have no illusions about how bad a condition this transatlantic partnership is in.

Any one of these daily atrocities should result in a full congressional investigation and a disbanding of the agency. The fact that it’s all just shrugged off by those with the power to stop it is a national disgrace.
