Since today is the Feast of the Ass, I wanted to share my favourite kind of donkey: the Baudet du Poitou!
This lad was once very rare due to a decline in the 20th century, with only 44 existing in 1975, but conservation efforts saved them.
Those long, matted locks of hair are called cadenettes.
