Scot mostly found in the West Midlands. Social democracy. Probably the only person to hold a season ticket for both Aberdeen and West Brom.

I don't agree with that in the workplace.
I am not quite sure how "Your Party" has managed to conjure up three other options for a name that mean that sticking with “Your Party" would somehow be the best choice, but they have managed it - so fair play, I suppose.

Please excuse this bit of Liberal Democrat posting, but by UK supermarket standards, the M&S in-store bakery really is consistently excellent and probably doesn’t get quite enough praise for that.

One of my most enduring gripes. Politicians are told not to patronise voters. The most patronising approach is to nod along when they believe stuff that's not true, or encourage them
this is one of the reasons not to do policy by poll or focus group

If you are going to be a team that seeks to:

a) Manage games out;
b) When leading, create chances on transition;

It helps to be a team that actually looks comfortable:

a) Managing games out;
b) Creating good quality chances on transition.

Really not sure about this new addition to the Madame Tussauds lineup.

Coventry City have scored 47 goals in 17 Championship games this season. Extrapolated over a 46-game season, that would be 127 goals.

The good news - or bad, depending on your view - is that they are overperforming their underlying numbers, so might have to settle for a more modest 115 or suchlike.

Keir Starmer, the literal prime minister, visiting a primary school and managing to make headlines for being ‘told off’ by the headteacher and having to apologise to her, does just feel perfectly on-brand for his premiership to date.

If Ruben Amorim looked and spoke like David Moyes, he would be managing the Dog and Duck. Useless.

Remember to wrap up warm for the open top bus back down the road.
Hearts suffer first league defeat of the season at Pittodrie. Where else?

Created plenty of chances to at least take a point but far too profligate.

The wait for a win at Aberdeen will reach nearly 10 years.
Aberdeen 1-0 Hearts: First league defeat, big chances missed, Pittodrie hoodoo
Hearts went down 1-0 at Pittodrie, bringing their first league defeat of the season. Joel and Craig look back at the action.

Well, that's the Heart of Midlothian bubble well and truly burst. Aberdeen are getting good at ending title challenges in November.

Great to be ahead at half-time. I don't think we have been particularly good, but Hearts have been worse. Stuart Armstrong is the best and most accomplished footballer on the pitch by a country mile.

Leeds with the strangest goal celebration of all time here. I think about 75% of the stadium don't think it's been given on-field.

You have to hope that Karlsson's absence is a short-term thing, otherwise that is going to be a major issue with the number of games coming up in quick succession. I would have had Shinnie in from the start for this one, too.

I like Wayne Rooney, but he dresses for Match of the Day like an adolescent going on a first date at Nando's. He's probably doused himself in Hollister body spray, too.

I might have underestimated Streeting's popularity among Labour members. Which is a bit surprising because he is an ardent Blairite and the average Labour member in 2025 is, um, not that. Perhaps helps that his main strengths appear to be among Starmer's main weaknesses.

You see this also with the “we have to reduce immigration or racism will get worse”. The average person who thinks immigration is too high does not think that makes gutter racism ok and does not agree with, e.g. “let’s do a Partition scale ethnic cleansing in the UK”.
Sorry to keep banging on about it but it's literally *they are on Twitter and think it's the majority view*
This is pretty striking and makes me wonder exactly what Labour have been up to in making policy seemingly in response to / fear of the former rather than the middle group.

Some interesting - and quite striking - numbers here.

If you relied on, say, Elon Musk's X for your reading of the national pulse, you would probably expect it to be about 90-10 in the other direction, at least among the first demographic.
Why do people think England flags have been raised on lampposts?

Increasingly convinced that the next Prime Minister - probably after May next year - is going to be Bridget Phillipson. Possibly Angela Rayner, although a harder sell now for obvious reasons.

Mahmood and Streeting will just not command the necessary support from within the membership.
