Estoy buscando comunidad mexicana de Battletech (un juego de mesa de los 80's de mechas, inspiró videojuegos como MechWarrior). Me ha costado trabajo porque a) no hay distribuidores en el país* y b) no estoy dispueste a hacerme un facebook. Manda DM si teinteresa o si te gustan los robots gigantes.

Base defense patrol refits of two ARAR units, KFB39-05 “Lucina” (back) and KFB39-04 “Juno” (foreground). Both have close-range sets of equipment, featuring presumably grenade pouches on the up-armoring ballistic vest and at submachine gun magazines in vertical pouches attached as well. Lucina in particular features a thigh-mounted soft case with what I personally imagine to be repair supplies. Additional helmets are present, although Juno’s is seemingly field-repaired, further damage and missing optic implying some amount of combat being recent. ——— I’ve always really enjoyed how the straps on like, the Storch and the Star units look, but I’ve always thought of how the existence of the SAPR implies there’s just variants on the base frames of some of the replikas in this universe. Reading about the Ara frame and their multi-purpose nature and seemingly superior durability to something like the Eule had me wondering if they’d be like, the rank-and-file chassis for second line purposes, especially being suited for repair and all. Anyway yeah I just wanted to try to figure out this fit for myself. Haha.

it seems to be borderline impossible for a huge chunk of TTRPG designers to realize that players want to have fun, and you need to give them systemic tools to have fun, not just shrug and go "I hope your DM is really good at making fun without involving any game mechanics"

great thread on why the way leveling up in modern D&D sucks ass, and also sucks in MMOs that work the same way

simply put, you don't get to 'play the game' (do cool things, fulfill the promise of your character's idea) until you hit a specific point - and it's terrible! It's the opposite of fun!

There's a common phenomenon in *mainly* dnd & trpgs descended therefrom, which i'll call a problem (but others don't see that way), which is the huge level gulfs (and resultant weeks or months or eternities) between when a feature is gained and when a build "comes online".

Many thoughts about this.
