KNOW THE DIFFERENCE: Minnesota National Guard under Gov Walz's command will not be wearing facemasks and will have reflective vests on. This will distinguish them from the people cosplaying for ICE/CBP/DHS.

By my count, 37 of 47 Democratic US Senators have already tweeted about the MN shooting (all critical), 14 of whom included opposition to ICE funding in pending appropriations bill.

Only 3 of 54 Republican Senators have tweeted about the incident.

Enough Dems have made the funding bill dead in the water. Now we need Noem impeached and ICE dismantled.

Are there any folks outside Mike Johnson’s house?
There are about 100 protesters outside Schumer’s building in the middle of the blizzard urging him to whip Dem votes against any more ICE/CBP funding.

If this is true (and that’s not a small if), it is reasonable to posit that Bezos is trying to offload the Post. Or kill it altogether.

Sports is a top driver of traffic and subscriptions for most news sites.

And we’ve seen how Bezos and Lewis have mangled the Opinion section.

NEW: The ICE killing of Alex Pretti, the second in Minneapolis, prompts quick legal action.

After ICE agents killed Alex Pretti on Saturday, lawyers responded quickly — leading to one TRO issued before the night's end aimed at preserving evidence of the killing.

The first written opinion is out of the gate on DOJ's litigation in half the country to collect voter files. And it's a smackdown of DOJ across the board.

(Disclosure: I joined a brief to the court along the lines of the opinion, so yeah, I think it's right.)

WOW on Pretti's denial of medical treatment

"I informed the ICE agents that I am a physician, and I asked to
assess the victim.

At first, the ICE agents wouldn't let me through. ... But none of the ICE agents who were near the victim were performing CPR, ... None of the agents were helping him."

Alex Jeffrey Pretti was an ICU nurse at a VA hospital. His life, through his profession, was dedicated to serving his community and our country.

As so many have now seen on video, his final act before he was killed by federal agents was doing everything in his power to protect his community.

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.
