One lovely effect of PE/tech taking over journalism is that we now use tech jargon for this shit. 40 years ago they were vilified as corporate raiders doing hostile takeovers and talked about Carl Icahn stripping TWA for parts and the nation was horrified by KKR ripping apart RJR Nabisco.
why do we allow private equity in our society? it's obviously bad for everyone in the world except the people doing it. it should be illegal like fraud

Has this reader been living under a rock for the past 30+ years? All Stars were retro cool when I was in grade school in the 80s. I bought the original re-release of Jordan 1s in the mid 90s because they were retro cool.
