We'll see, but the degree of immediate blowback, and how many other Dems immediately jumped onboard trashing it loudly, makes me think this might end up a failed attempt to cave. Overestimated their ability to hold enough Dem votes.

Lots going on but from outside it seems that at least part of the calculus was that flight disruption for middle class and up travelers matters more than life disruption for untold numbers who’ll be deprived of health care.

You'd think folks involved in building these massive monuments to resource/capital suckage would AT LEAST have "Power Needs" as one of their top checklist items. If it's not, then cities supporting this shit ought to have to tell us all why they let this kind of half-assery happen.
