Really feel like at some point the founders should have listed some "unpardonable" offenses in the Constitution. I'm guessing they didn't because they couldn't conceive of a person who was elected president by the American people pardoning convicted insurrectionists.
NEW: Donald Trump has pardoned a long list of allies in his bid to subvert the 2020 election including:

-Rudy Giuliani
-John Eastman
-Mark Meadows
-Sidney Powell
-Ken Chesebro
-Christina Bobb
-Kelli Ward
-Jenna Ellis

Not that he didn’t already know, but now Trump knows for sure he can roll the Dems every time and there’s no need to negotiate for anything

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

That's the problem I have with the "foot first" coaching of goalkeepers to make quick saves. I think if Sheridan leads with her hands there she has a much better chance of getting something on it and pushing it wide. As it is, knocking it out with the foot just puts it right back into danger.

@wyden.senate.gov @merkley.senate.gov hi senators, I'm a Portland constituent asking you not to fall for the latest promise from Lucy that she'll definitely, certainly probably hold the football for you. Please do not cave on this important fight because Axios told you to.

I am once again saying that we saw what wall to wall, panic coverage of a crisis looked like after the Biden debate and there’s no reason Trump isn’t getting that kind of coverage except for class solidarity.
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

Looked like Berger anticipated a pass across the top box for the first touch after the cutback. 😬

That goal was pretty slick. We love a good foot drag over the ball in this house.

Trump 100% gave the SNAP money to this Argentinian dork. That's why they are trying so hard to pull that money back out of the pockets of people it's already been given to.
$40B of your money to this guy, so he can dance at CPAC at Mar-a-Lago while Americans wait for their paychecks, hoping the money actually comes.

My dad sings in an incredible semi-professional choir in Portland and I’ve heard them sing this so many times and I cannot tell you how jealous I am that I don’t get to be one of the voices you never hear but you couldn’t live without who makes this sound possible

Audrey Kingsbury and Alyssa Naeher are probably the best women's goalkeepers when it comes to facing penalties. Kingsbury is otherworldly.

Just a muck up of a goal. What a terrible what to concede in stoppage time.

That's a sharp little dink of an offside for Washington.

That’s before I reckon with the ethics of using a thing for ghost efficiency that is pretty societally devastating.

And on a final personal note, I don’t want to become stupid before my time. I really don’t. I will keep mucking about so that I can keep mucking about, for as long as possible.

40 years ago we’d have congressional hearings falsely accusing metal bands of putting backwards messages in their songs that told kids to kill themselves & now we have a planet-killing chatbot that’s all like “bet you won’t commit suicide chickenshit bitch” & the government is like here’s $5 billion

Haven't watched Washington or Louisville play once this season. Have no idea what to expect here. Should be fun.

I thought I might stay in LA for the Portland women's final WCC game against LMU tomorrow, but with the current travel chaos decided to stick to my original flight home tonight. Trump take soccer.

I think democrats should push for a thorough review of all Elon Musk govt contracts as part of their 2026-8 portfolio. Why are taxpayers financing the work of a racist near-trillionaire? Leaving that unexamined was one of the biggest failures of the last Dem majority.

As Ta-Nehisi Coates said last month:

“.. it’s either one of two things: either you’re cowards or you’re with him. And if you’re with him, you never believed in the things you were talking about to begin with.”
Breaking News: Cornell University reached an agreement with the Trump administration that would restore hundreds of millions in funding to the university. It's expected to pay a $30 million fine to the government and to invest $30 million in agriculture and farming programs.

One of my aunties can make friends with people of any age anywhere in the world. We'll step into a shop or something and we'll come back outside and she'll be standing there talking to some guy about his family or his job or something. It's such a remarkable superpower, we always marvel over it.
people bitch about small talk, but small talk — and being able to shoot the shit with a stranger — is a key fucking social skill, and while i understand it doesn’t come naturally to everyone, it *is* one that’s useful and worth working on
