Political Behavior Commentary

Focused on the behaviours that move and shape politics and in turn shape behaviours, instead of regurgitating political hx, theories, and long explanations of political events that would never have occurred without human behaviours.
One of the things I wish u media/academia would talk about is how far right awa how opposing political power (dems) have allowed far right make US ed/media/politics/etc waste resources to re-litigate fights that have been won diverting them from addressing vital issues like climate/poverty/etc.
In 2024, Charlie Kirk assigned his podcast co-host Blake Neff the task of taking MLK down a peg in the public's estimation. Neff is most well known for having been fired by Tucker Carlson in 2020 for being exposed as a white nationalist. www.wired.com/story/charli...

Why even post if the figures vary so widely? Why not wait until they’re able to get a better handle of the numbers?

Using terms trophy and conquest is exactly how Trump wants media to frame his deliberately escalating violence to cement his dictatorship.
NEW of all the deep-blue sanctuary cities in America, Chicago is perhaps the biggest trophy for Trump's ICE crackdown. I spent last week with volunteer brigades and officials trying to fend off federal agents, and where everyone worries about escalating violence

I think to myself no fucking duh w/every one of these quotes from CEOs biz leaders.
COOP: “.. I think at the end of the day, it has to fall on a president's shoulders – he's the leader, and he's got to bring everybody together."

That’s the entire problem. Trump
got in WH bec no one thought an ignorant, vengeful grifter would get that far. What’s frustrating is u all think he’s the exception, when this happens all the time. Haven’t u heard of failing up? This is on all us, not on Trump.
He really is the biggest embarrassment in our country's history. Can you imagine being president of the United States and being this pathetically insecure and petty?

That really pisses me off to no end. Why rnt outcries re anti-vax idiocy running HHS not include celebrities whose stupidity, self-involvement, over-extended view of their own importance like McCarthy made them think they had the right to spread dangerous nonsense? Why isn’t a/o going after her?
Yeah the internet might have been the biggest blunder in the history of the world but I'm sticking with humoring Jenny McCarthy as the beginning of the "stupid people allowed to speak out of turn" path that led us to Nancy Mace being allowed to speak on science to an audience
Nancy Mace: "You've got pregnant women recording videos of themselves taking Tylenol, which has now been linked to autism. They hate Trump more than they love their babies ... they're denying science."

History is written by those who are wanting to write it. Also, there are other political groups that have power over the goal post (pssst, it's the @democrats.org). So, far, I'm not seeing that party lifting a fucking finger to stop the re-writing. They leave it to social media for public awareness.
The extent to which this history has been rewritten by right wing propagandists while MSM slept for 2 yrs—so much so that the NYT doesn’t even catch it now.

When the “Censorship Industrial Complex” supposedly formed, silenced conservatives, & stole elections, THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION was in power.
Trump had his accounts suspended on January 7, 8, and 9th 2020. WHEN HE WAS STILL PRESIDENT. It was not Joe Biden because Biden was not President.
September 22, 2025 at 3:37 AM
U know why? Because u fucking Democrats did NOTHING to hold him accountable, especially by refusing to build a mssg machine to control narrative. Had Pelosi used her vast political power in Trump's impeachment for Jan 6 as she did to oust Biden, McConnell might have gotten Senate to convict Trump.
We are fast becoming a banana republic, with two standards of justice. If you oppose the leader, you go to jail just for speech. If you're a loyalist, you get immunity for your crimes.

That's what happens in Iran - not the United States. This is a decision moment for America.

Sure, sure, Eisner. We all are confident that if u were in Iger’s position that u’d w/o hesitation protect ur entertainment assets risking the $B merger. We know not all CEOs d/n put shareholders ahem bonus over what’s right. We just c/n find such principled people in corporate world.
Michael Eisner, who served as CEO of Disney for 21 years and acquired ABC while he was in charge, slams his successor Bob Iger for bending the knee.

Sorry. Still not impressed from Schumer. This has been long-time in the making esp since the Limbaugh Fox News start. Fucking Dems IGNORED HUNDREDS of road signs over the decades. They were incredibly deluded esp must win 2024, that they could serve donors, listen to consultants instead of voters.
Trump is reliably pushing even many ppl who would rather not be in a political legitimacy death match with him into that struggle.

The line differs from person to person. But the vast majority of Americans have some kind of line. And he will damn well try to cross all of them.
Donald Trump and Brendan Carr are putting America on the road to dictatorship.

Uh, remember a few years ago Mitch McConnell’s wife’s sister drowned when her Tesla car ran into a body of water and she couldn’t open the door and she was frantically calling/texting?
“.. parents told the regulator they were unable to reopen the doors of their Tesla to retrieve a child ..

“.. ‘Entrapment in a vehicle is particularly concerning in emergency situations, such as when children are entrapped in a hot vehicle,’ NHTSA said.”

Likely article d/n address SCOTUS. It’s a huge mistake bec the 6 cons rulings are inextricable from Trump’s actions. Academia esp legal academia needs to drag those rulings in public making it clear that because they are legally unsound, they should be viewed as having little validity for the public
The headline of this article is becoming a theme of the higher ed movement and the anti-authoritarian movement in general: rank-and-file folks are forging ahead of our nominal "leaders."

3 layers of amplification of Trump talking point and why/how he dominates all of media including on the left: 1st layer is Trump answering major media’s inane questions that have no value, 2nd layer Trump’s stenographer for left @acyn.bsky.social, 3rd layer is retweet by another left/prog account.
Reporter: What do you make of Bondi saying she is going to go after hate speech, a lot of your allies say hate speech is free speech.

Trump: Probably go after people like you, you treat me unfairly, you have hate in your heart. ABC paid me $16 million for a form of hate speech,

Excellent, excellent, excellent. This makes the most sense of what's happening to Trump, really gels together the multiple disparate factors, including Trump's sudden preoccupation with death. Shout out to @reallyamerican.bsky.social whose video I came across that featured this thread.

Problem is many is us have no clue what it is that weighs us down, and we don’t have a small fortune and years (decades) to spend on therapists to plod thru our childhood to find out.
August 17, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Who r if not Dems in a position to launch nat’l campaign to educate the public, to call out repeatedly/block exposure to those including major media spreading dangerous lies? Why d/n the party do that? Political laziness, refusal to face current reality, and stupid belief in all out free speech.
Not to belabor a "I told you so", but it's been clear for years that the whole "lab leak" discourse has absolutely nothing to do with a potential lab leak and everything to do with a broader anti-science agenda.

I really, and truly, hope more scientists will realize this and take corrective action.

U know AIPAC will counter by using your Muslim heritage to evoke fear/anger over terrorism, and they will succeed in “othering” u in many voters’ eyes. Make a video like this that hits hard about ur values, aspirations are the voters: peace, freedom, prosperity, family, community, etc.

August 8, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Okay. How about not being so lazy by using the vast amt of chars u have left by including who the other two are, what country they’re from, and what the fuck is the agreement? Otherwise what is the value of ur post? Or is this post a joke?

If u journos, democratic advocates face Dems present/past failure to be proactively fighting for democracy INCLUDING campaigning in a way that reaches voters that Dems failed to do 2016/2024 so that those voters will vote them in, we can know if today’s Dems will reverse Trump dictatorship.
U know what a bigger story is that NONE OF JOURNOS R EVEN AWR OF? IF/how/when Dems WILL/WANT TO/BE ABLE TO dismantle the Trump’s ICE deportation program should Dem get back WH. I think u prom journos awa Dems not tackling today’s political event shaping the future is partly how we got Trump.
Just in case it’s not already clear that ICE is a white supremacist thug army, Homeland Security is recruiting with a “defend your culture” slogan.
