Political Behavior Commentary
@pbcommentary.bsky.social
Focused on the behaviours that move and shape politics and in turn shape behaviours, instead of regurgitating political hx, theories, and long explanations of political events that would never have occurred without human behaviours.
Remind them how Dems won the shut down mssg by coordinating non-stop relay mssgs on major/social media, as r-wing media do, b4 fucking Chuck caved for his rich donors, and how r-wing media esp Trump wielded political power in media when they’re out of power since 1980s including in Biden’s term.

Yeah, of course. They're evoking that photo of Obama admin watching/monitoring capture of bin Laden. Who are their audience? Low-info moderate/independent/swing voters and major media.
Trump just posted this photo of the sharpest minds in our intelligence community hard at work during the Venezuelan operation.

I bet if u go back to Walt and challenge him on his prediction, he'll claim nothing has changed and cherry pick w/"We still have our individual rights."
an annoying thing about realists insisting they're the no-nonsense reality-based group is that few of their predictions have been based in reality

This is a good sign. That Mamdani so far has no plans to back down on what are key issues that propelled him by using the book of his religion for his swearing in when I'm sure so many tried to get him to swear on the bible because of optics esp delusional appearance of non-partisanship.
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

Maybe it’s because we expected a system that’s on its own inanimate will behave better than humans do and we made no equal expectations of humans when using the system.
We have already had some great episodes of this new #Journalism2050 podcast - this is one of my favorites so far with @jayrosen.bsky.social - the internet that promised so much, what went wrong, and where do we go now
In a new Journalism 2050, @jayrosen.bsky.social recounts how the internet, once thought to hail a new age of democratization in journalism, became a tool for corporate surveillance and the centralization of wealth. With @emilybell.bsky.social and Heather Chaplin.

Why do those like u continue to expect corporate media @axios.com @cnn.com @cbsnews.com @nbcnews.com @politico.com to behave differently than any other corporations, like banks, oil, auto, food, pharmacy, clothing, housing, etc.? If u rid ur POV, maybe we can begin to redesign news media industry.
It’s not the news when you repeat incongruous lies coming from the White House. Come on, Axios. We need you to do better.

Major studios already face attached strings when releasing/producing films in China. Humans, esp business and the rich, are so nonchalant about the darker, more dangerous aspects of doing business with brutal leaders like MbS, like it w/n affect them.

Ummph. Looks like another prime candidate for Trump’s pardon if he has Trump’s price which appears to be $1M.

Just look at ur profile name. That’s out of creativity. U learned it s/wh. One of most creative subjects is dystopia. So is Barbie. Both encompass hundreds of concepts/ideas including amalgamating past/future. Sure (some) persons can do that on their own but eds can expand creativity/understanding
If I’m not a customer then why do I pay so much? I’m definitely a customer and as a customer I have certain expectations for the service rendered.

What the fuck ru talking about? Hard right beg’g w/those like Koch Bros spent decades putting in place levers and blocks from local gvmts to ed to SCOTUS to chip away at US democratic infrastructure, highly aided by Dems putting in leadership appeasers including Obama. Trump pulled those strings.
One theme here is the speed of American institutional collapse.
“It took Erdoğan 15 years to do what Trump did in 100 days. If [Americans] do not accept the fact that this is a long game, and it will be brutal, I think you won’t have the patience and stamina to bear it.”
We asked activists from authoritarian regimes what they wish they’d known sooner. Here’s what they said www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

I’m pretty certain if the Dems do not engage in full court press on Trump/r-wing stochastic terrorism, their followers will continue to commit violence as they already have done w/Dem state rep and her husband. Dems also have to start considering legal actions.
December 1, 2025 at 9:16 PM
terrorism (and that is what it is, terrorism) has released them from their responsibility to report and make the terrorists accountable. Dems need to put pressure on media as well as GOP/Trump and r-wing media. Demand to get on media esp Fox News and confront them, and do it again the next day.
December 1, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Dems have got to learn that their silence last 10yrs on Trump/r-wing violent rhetoric has only increased that rhetoric, but even worse, their silence had made it okay for that rhetoric to turn to actual violence. Dems have also got to realize the their hands-off on major media re this stochastic
December 1, 2025 at 9:08 PM
When they do get threats right after the silent signal, they need to get on every media showing the threats alongside the signal, and out it on repeat. Even more, Dems need to confront ev major media demand why they d/n cover this silent terrorism that is growing.
December 1, 2025 at 9:04 PM
@thedemcoalition.bsky.social @housedemocrats.bsky.social @democrats.senate.gov need to do a lot more and should plan to put it on frequent repeat. W/ev stochastic terrorism uttered by Trump/GOP/r-wing media Dems need to immediately get on every media and call it silent signal for terrorism.

The Dem leadership is entirely made up of followers. Any politician today with real leadership instinct knows that swing voter is just another term for up for grabs. The party that has the strongest and most persistent mssg campaign will likely win that swing.
“Strong floor, no ceiling” is absolutely the type of slogan that a focus group of swing voters will tell you they find appealing after it has been a whole hour and they just want to go home.

It’s a slogan for people convinced this country *really* wants a Mike Bloomberg presidential campaign.

I don't know. A hard-core reporter needs to look into that student to see if there was any coordination including with TPUSA. It all feels so scripted, because this is by far not the first incidence of its kind.
the primary thing that TPUSA provides to young conservatives is a blueprint for weaponizing the abject cowardice of university administrators against individual teachers and instructors, and university admins should take a long look in the mirror and think about what that says about them
OU has put the professor here on administrative leave:

persuasion. If Dennis was more up to speed, he'd realize just how ill-equipped Schumer Pelosi Jeffries Gillibrand are in their leadership against fighting Trump's increasing authoritarianism.

that long held beliefs about the parties and government can be re-worked. Good fucking god. Bannon TOLD US HOW TO DO IT: FIREHOSE OF LIES. It's incredibly egregious by now major political ops like Dennis/Longwell are still way, way behind the right-wing eightball in understaning political
November 26, 2025 at 3:04 AM
about political persuasion, number one being just how malleable voters' understanding of politics is. They seem clueless on fact that belief is as moveable/malleable as clay. Good fucking god. Right wing media have been showing us for nearly 40 decades just how malleable beliefs/values are,
November 26, 2025 at 3:04 AM
that's not true. So where do these people get the idea that Trump would be a lot better on the economy than a Dem president. How do they not see the success of Biden's policies on the economy. WHERE/HOW DO THESE LOW-INFO VOTERS GET THEIR POLITICAL NEWS? Dennis/Longwell have their own ignorance
November 26, 2025 at 3:04 AM
people in the group. Dennis and Longwell d/n ask the hard questions to themselves. They hear the group saying, I just feel Trump is going to be better for the economy. Dennis and Longwell just accept that as stupid as the belief is, that that idea is set. They don't say to themselves, wow, we know
November 26, 2025 at 3:03 AM
I d/n need to form a focus group to see just how Dem leaders who HAVE THE POWER OF MSSG, CONTROL OF CAMPAIGN PURSE are disconnected from voters. Based on what Dennis is saying, I find his focus groups like Longwells ultimately have no value bec of how little u demand from them. Not from the

I think not enuf scrutiny is placed on those in the sexual predators environment that protect them.

I think of major media like bunch of blind men occupying just one spot of the elephant, which happens to be the hottest. Their employers hired them exactly for that, bec they th/s only care about the hottest spot because that’s what makes them the most money. Versus we view the elephant as a whole.
