This is sad news. I owe a lot to Gerry Gable and his work, and I'm glad he lived a long life. I subscribed to Searchlight from my teens into my 30s, and in return I received an invaluable education on fascism and its history. May his memory be a blessing.

This is sad news. I owe a lot to Gerry Gable and his work, and I'm glad he lived a long life. I subscribed to Searchlight from my teens into my 30s, and in return I received an invaluable education on fascism and its history. May his memory be a blessing.

I'd say they SHOULDN'T be "allowed to shoot people just because you didn't do what they said," but that's not the reality of how police shootings are handled in the overwhelming number of jurisdictions, red or blue, throughout America.

Something I used to say all the time in the other place, and on here too; build a big prison on an island, put all the tech-bros in the prison, nuke the island.
The end goal of Grok sexual harassment is to make women afraid to be visible. It’s a punishment for daring to exist in a way the perpetrators can’t control. There’s no one solution to this, because the problem isn’t just technological. It’s cultural. It’s misogyny. This is just one expression of it.

It seems obvious to me that Starmer has no imagination, no curiosity, no real ideas of his own and can be easily persuaded that bad ideas are in fact good ideas if the persuader is someone he trusts or has a relationship with.
