If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

While I don’t think copyright is the right angle for defeating AI, I also find it weird to say that genAI doesn’t produce infringing copies just bc it doesn’t store the duplicates. My brain doesn’t store perfect replications of anything but I can still make infringing works easily.
The judge ruled: “An AI model such as Stable Diffusion which does not store or reproduce any copyright works (and has never done so) is not an ‘infringing copy’.”

In honor of Dick Cheney.

The infamous quail incident. While quail hunting with GOP bigshots, Cheney accidentally shot lawyer 78-year-old lawyer
Harry Whittington in the face.

Cheney never apologized, public or privately.

I thought up this cartoon in a flash of inspiration & burst out laughing.

The state provides some funding for the houses; the city does not. One thing you may not know about Oxford Houses is that the residents get to pick who lives there based on an interview (literally just vibes) and that if you relapse, you have 30 minutes to leave.

I have a bad cold so sorry if this is blunt/not clear:

If you are going to mention the HHS Report, you have to contextualize it properly for the reader: that it was anonymous, not peer reviewed (not normal practice), widely criticized, etc. Readers don't know the quality of research unless you say!

Katelyn is right; this transition care ban is bad but we can't afford to spiral and we have time and tools to fight it. They couldn't get it in the murder budget bill, and that has blunted the fangs on this in ways that similar rules on abortion care are not so fortunate.

Like she says: organize!
couple things: do not panic. this rule WILL be held up in the courts for a long time.

also, keep an eye on the public comment period. the more comments they get, the longer it will take them to go through all the comments.

Where the fuck do people in this town buy UNDERPANTS?? I’m boycotting Target and that’s like… the only store I know of in the area that sells men’s underwear for less than $15 for a single underpant.

Because most social programs in the US are, unfortunately, means tested, sometimes providing direct financial assistance to someone can risk their benefits. This is an excellent guide on how to avoid that if there is anyone that you want to aid directly during this crisis.
I firmly believe, with every single atom of my being, that instead of amplifying unreliable information that discourages helping, our focus as 42 million Americans face hunger must be on providing factual information that enables people to help.

In general, this council focuses obsessively on the small stuff and disdains previous elected officials and the reasons behind their decisions. The worst instinct of all politicians is to behave as if they are the first person to ever hold their position or ask specific questions.

I think one thing that is implied without being directly stated is these types of groups are as much about defining what democratic ideology should be rather than what can win.

They're not there to win elections, but define the boundaries of Democratic policy.
For my newsletter, I took a deeper look at the electoral record of WelcomePAC, a centrist group that produced that 352 page document advising Democrats to moderate once again.

Turns out the campaigns they work for aren't winning. www.burnsnotice.com/fire-the-con...
