Since I saw multiple posts about exes and past relationships last night, I've got Rain'li's on my mind. His first romance and first ex was Koana. The two fell for each other when they were both students. Rain'li, the asshole, broke up with him in a letter when he ran away to Eorzea.

If it makes sense, sure, but there are so many ages that I just look at and go no???????? This game is for some reason allergic to the idea of major characters that are over 25, and that's not my problem. I stuck a pin in the time bubble and give the expansions about 12-15 years to breathe.

Are they canon? If so at which point in time? Or do you adjust them to your personal timeline? Or perhaps it's all the "1 year time bubble"?

I've been using this replay to drink in as much lore as I can in the little moments between quests, and I *love* the small worldbuilding details like these soldiers in prayer.

As far as MMOs or MMO-adjacent games my only other one at the moment is Warframe. (Psst, come closer - do you want complex science fiction and deep character writing in a non-exploitative free game with a passionate dev team who hired a romance author to write their dialogue system?)
