I live all over, but Texas and SF feel like home. Sometimes DC. My superpower is I see so many awesome people, and I do my best to call them out. Mr. Rogers is my hero. And Ted Lasso.

I also like programming, using AI for good, and macroeconomics. He/him

In web design, if it feels icky, it's just icky.

It's entirely possible to make an innocent bad design choice. In which case, @support.bsky.team can put in a ticket to update the Text from "Advanced" to "More Settings."

Intent is reflected in how fast you fix it.

I don’t think Trump had anything to do with this. I think the FAA has been hearing from the controllers’ union & the airline pilots association & more & the flight safety concerns are real.

Controllers are working mandatory overtime, exhausted & stressed & this situation can’t continue.

She needed to tell her husband investor, Paul, to cut it out. At best it looked like corruption. At worst, it was.

It completely undermined any progressive agenda.

That said, she was an absolute wizard at wielding power for good when she wanted. Like a Gandalf fueled by chocolate and hutzpah.

It’s been a pleasure working with Lex and everyone in the politics vertical at Teen Vogue. I’m heartbroken that my column, Disability Visibility, is gone. Teen Vogue was one of the few places that published disabled journalists regularly. I just spent the last 2 months working on my next column
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

Every month for the last 77 years, the Bureau of Labor Statistics has estimated Americans' unemployment rate

This streak dies tomorrow

Govt staff could not survey Americans about whether they're working or looking for work in Oct, the 1st time in 934 months

This blind spot will remain forever
Here's the planned BLS data release schedule for Nov 2025.

On Tues, it couldn't release Sept job openings, hires, layoffs and firings data.

This morning, it couldn't release 2025Q3 business Productivity and Costs data.

Tomorrow, it can't release Oct 2025 #JobsReport

Yep, today's celebration absolutely calls for a B5 quote.
“If more of our so-called leaders would walk the same streets as the people who voted them in, live in the same buildings, eat the same food instead of hiding behind glass and steel and bodyguards, maybe we'd get better leadership and a little more concern for the future.”

Choose hope. Choose to dream. Choose a just in case we win scenario. Sometimes we do.

Go forward knowing that, fam.

This is what someone who only thinks in narcissistic zero-sum "winning" does. Dominate and abuse until opposition relents. Then throw scraps.

It doesn't work that way. And it usually ends very badly for those with that worldview and their sycophants.

They'd starve people to win. Total sickos.
