I'm about to lose my right to vote if the SAVE Act passes.

This country already doesn't want disabled people to vote if we struggle to leave our houses.

There's a reason I had the word "hea" blocked on The Old Site
I opened threads because I had a notification and they are apparently debating the necessity of HEA in romance, and it's nice to know that even if the world is on fire and our government is crumbling, people will be mad the happy books are happy & happy book people will fail to ignore them. 😂

"Our standing rule is: If one of us brings up using GenAI in any of our work, then it's safe to assume we've been assimilated by The Thing and should be burned alive by Kurt Russell," said a game design consultant in the US.
Over 50% of game developers now think generative AI is bad for the industry, a dramatic increase from just 2 years ago: 'I'd rather quit the industry than use generative AI'
The latest GDC survey also found that managers are more likely to use generative AI than their employees.

There are very few Democrats that I will not vote for: I voted for and ENDORSED Kamala Harris, for instance, in the last election.

Gavin Newsom is one of them. His election would be an active threat to transgender people, and I lay out the case in my piece.
February 13, 2026 at 6:44 PM
At every stage of his career, Gavin Newsom has stepped on, vilified, or pushed away Californians on the margins and that wouldn't change if he gets more power. He's a power grubbing grifter who will step on anyone to get what he wants and him dunking on Trump on twitter doesn't change that.
There seems to be a lot of discussion about Gavin Newsom today.

I wanted to re-share this piece that I wrote, because I have a lot of center-to-left Dems that follow me that want to understand.

There are very good reasons transgender people do not like Gavin Newsom.
Why Transgender People Are Not Feeling Gavin Newsom
We have seen this song and dance before.

As others have said, Bad Bunny's halftime performance highlighted the horrible electricity situation in Puerto Rico. For many, blackouts are a weekly occurrence and the situation has only gotten worse in the last few years.

Earlier this week, there were about 130,000 customers without power.

Benito is a threat b/c he makes art so alluring and enjoyable you want to understand everything about it and then you end up learning about sugar and slavery and colonialism and the Taínos and Hawaii and then you probably have some thoughts of your own, and that's why art is powerful and dangerous

Don't love Ring acting like it's a great boon to animal lovers that they can use automatic identity matching to surveil entire neighborhoods. Do they really think we're too stupid to realize there are applications beyond finding lost puppies?

Puerto Ricans dancing on electrical poles is about as big a political statement you could make at a Super Bowl halftime show. The only way that could have been more explicit is if Bad Bunny started tossing rolls of paper towels to the dancers

TIL my state legislation one super easy to use hotline. I called one number and a friendly lady took my address, name, the numbers of the bills I wanted to talk about, and a short message, then sent it to all of my reps.

This is so much less of a pain than federal calls. Thanks, Washington!

As someone who (very reluctantly) ended up moving farther left because I care about people, it was deeply frustrating to get here and find how many leftists don't have love in their political ideology.

It's not the majority or anything, but the loud ones are exhausting.
Also always true

Look, I'm just gonna tell cishet white people right now--Newsom ain't the one. You got Walz and Pritzker out here. You do not need a Bill Clinton clone wearing Mitt Romney's skin.
California Governor Gavin Newsom said on Thursday that the Democratic Party needed to be “more culturally normal” and “less judgmental.”

This is disappointing. The shop's cute and I was really looking forward to buying more stuff there, but uh, not anymore.

Secret Garden Books is just down the street, their romance selection isn't bad, and they can order anything they don't have in stock.
when you see a romance bookstore go all in on AI. huge ick reading this. 🤢 it’s a new bookstore in Seattle

like I’m reading this article and I don’t even think they read romance books at all

AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
