New story out from me. CBP installed a surveillance network along the coast of the popular beach town of Fajardo in Puerto Rico.

These cameras are installed "in and around" private marinas in the municipality, which races privacy concerns.

The documents show the FBI collected information about the group at least three times between 2018 and 2024. Activists and experts I spoke with said this type of monitoring can have potential chilling effects on free speech and protests.

The lawsuit, much like a climate lawsuit by 37 municipalities, accused the fossil fuel industry of colluding to deceive the public about their products effects on climate change, which fueled the devastating 2017 hurricane season.
