You can, in fact, get shoes that well made for between $500 and $900 nowadays.
I’m sorry but if you really think you could get better shoes a century ago for cheaper than today your brains are COMPLETELY COOKED

you can either regulate, add subsidies, and/or expand public insurance programs, or:
The new Republican plan same as the old Republican plan: Fucking die already.
Rick Scott told me his plan would be to take all of the remaining ACA subsidies and redistribute them to HSA accounts and people can then buy whatever insurance a state certifies. Basically a repeal/replace.
He denied when I asked wouldn’t that create two-tiered system where sick pay much more…

at the end of the day, market insurance cannot provide insurance for sick people. It isn’t because insurers are greedy (though they are); it’s because every insurer would go bankrupt.

You spend your adult life fighting against a dictator with opulent, garish tastes. You finally prevail and walk the insides of the dictator’s abandoned palaces: gaudy, obscene, covered in gold bought with the people’s money.
And then the next thing you know…

If you made the senate have zero members, the states would all technically have equal suffrage in the senate
Abolish the Senate. I am absolutely dead serious.
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"
