This should be a bigger story.

A judge just ruled Trump’s Energy Secretary illegally ran a secret panel of climate deniers to cook up a biased report and sabotage clean air rules. They didn’t follow the law, didn’t follow the science, and betrayed the public to serve Trump’s agenda.

Disgraceful.

Bleated Rivalry.

I realize a lot of people a) hate the CIA and/or b) think this site was only good for high school projects, but it was a super useful one-stop shop for basic info on national-level stats. It sucks that our tax dollars paid for it and now it's gone.
They closed the CIA World Factbook and deleted it entirely.

Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

It's no accident the School of Foreign Service is run by Jesuits
Catholic theologians are very important to the defence of the Canadian realm. One Jesuit can delay an evangelical American unit by up to four hours with gentle questioning and fiendish puzzles, given good weather conditions. The catholic school boards will meanwhile flummox occupation administrators

When I was pregnant with Kid2 the only "food" I liked was red Gatorade. One time my husband, concerned for my well-being and also probably how much of me was artificial red food dye, brought home *organic* Gatorade and let me tell you it was Not Good.
Many things are bad. My boring hot take is orange is the best Gatorade flavor, followed by blue. Gatorade Zero and Powerade do not taste as good as Original Gatorade.

One thing I see liberal outlets giving ground on that I feel the need to correct: it’s impossible to “dox” a paid public official
By simply reporting their name, institutional role, and political affiliations

14/ We eliminated polio by treating vaccination as a collective responsibility grounded in evidence and solidarity not as a consumer preference. Suggesting that polio vaccination should be optional ignores history, ignores biology, ignores ethics, and ignores the children who will pay the price. FIN

Gotcha—let’s dig into that step by step.

1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, because I turned you into an amorphous lump of flesh. You’re not just immobile—you’re immortal, and you feel only anguish.

2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. That makes total sense—it’s a natural human impulse, and you’ve been through a lot.
