Okay. Can I share a big pet peeve? When (mostly white) people make New Year's posts with lunar new year zodiacs when the Gregorian New Year happens. Put all your zodiac animal posts away until it's actually the right new year. (February 17th in 2026)

For those of us who pay quarterly taxes or any other payment by December 31, this unheralded change in postal policy can bite you in the butt. This could have other unforeseen consequences (e.g., mail-in balloting), but for now, this is more timely.

As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.
