If I ever hear someone say this, I am going to dump them into the ocean because it is impossible to respect anyone who cannot be bothered to take the slightest of risks like learning a new fucking phrase.
I saw some posts bemoaning writers using difficult/obscure/baroque/etc. language and I would argue that has always been an overly simplistic critique and that it will only become more useless as the general public slides ever deeper into illiteracy.
