The Vice-President is as much a dilettante moron as the President, just in a “I say this shit to bootlick” way VS a “My brain is Swiss cheese from a diet of nothing but amphetamines and Diet Coke” way.

Dashiell Hammett's The Thin Man is going into the public domain on January 1st in case anyone wants to make a horror film about an adorably drunk couple and their dog chasing, like, a killer clown or something.

STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND by Robert A. Heinlein definitely did a number on my brain in college.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

I have fully-found out and all I have to say is that Jesus just ignore it all, who cares. I remember how controversial it was that some Bond films would reference his deceased wife from ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE.
I don’t know why everyone is talking about James Bond this morning and if you try to tell me why there will be consequences.

Watched CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD last night and I needed it to be about 10-20% goofier to really work.

A LOT of industry folks need to take "I think there's a very high possibility that this is all a bunch of horseshit" to HEART.

Managed to convince some skeptics to watch ONE CUT OF THE DEAD last night, everyone was cracking up and cheering by the end.

I genuinely don’t really have a lot of pictures of myself from a “different era,” I didn’t take a ton of photos as a teen (pre-smartphone), and was not the kind that always have a camera around.
