To me, he was a strong advocate against power hungry data centers that are threatening the landscape in my hometown. He spoke at many town meetings .

This was why I spent a decade arguing with antivaxxers on Twitter. I knew I would never persuade the true believers, the dyed-in-the-wool lunatics; but by refuting their nonsense, my hope was that onlookers anxious about vaccines would see that there was proof they *really were* safe and effective.
