Really brings home the fact that the delay in producing files was absolutely part of an effort to protect Trump versus the DOJ's oft-touted explanation that they were ensuring protection for victims.

Right passed the park now and a little girl maybe 5 years old got out of the car. She's saying "oww" and coughing, an older woman with her rushed her inside

As far as we know, the primary cause of death in ICE custody is a refusal to provide medical care.

It’s a form of structural violence and extremely common component of eugenics and ethnic cleansings.

Public evidence of rejection sends him irrationally batty, and that is consistent, from day one when he had Sean Spicer screaming about his inaugural crowd size.

I'm not sure anything humiliates him as much as his inability to force people to like him and the fact that others can see that rejection

The fact that both are quite experienced—8 years and 12 years with CBP—is yet more evidence that CBP should be abolished and all of its agents fired. There's no way to "reform" or "retrain" that, it's just a violent gang with badges.

I thought this was going to be about a work of fiction.
But, no.

Donald Trump pooped his pants 😂
What do you MEAN the president audibly SHIT himself live on camera and they immediately cancelled the press conference and rushed everyone out of the room like it's a fire drill, and it happened two days ago, and I'm just hearing about it NOW?

The common 🧵 in every single election, from Susan Crawford in Wisconsin to Zohran Mamdani in NYC to Taylor Rehmet in Texas, is that a clear majority of voters don't like evil, hate, incompetence, & far right authoritarianism. The policy details are election-specific, but that's the hummable tune.
Data / quant note: What model or message testing predicted how public opinion would shift 32 points in one year in this Texas seat?

None. No quant data could solely determine the correct message for this, no linear model could based on ad tests or issue polls.

This is also an extremely common cause of death for incarcerated Americans in federal & state custody, btw. All of these systems are connected.

a woman reached out to donate 500,000 delta skymiles to get people home to MN as they are released from custody in TX.

we're getting flights booked today. it should be enough to get at least 15 people home.

delta should be doing for free since they take ICE money.

A lovely woman I know told me the other day that since Avelo stopped flying for ICE, "We did it! We ended ICE Air!" Had to tell her Avelo was only about 15% of it.

Still going: Global X, Eastern Air, Journey, Key Lime/Denver Air, and Omni Air International ⤵️

There’s a multitude of reasons Ronald Reagan pushed a bootstrap mythology, but this is a huge one. If we keep waiting for a Superman to come save us, we stop caring about each other. And we forget that’s where our power is.
This is it in a nutshell, I think. Too many people have been waiting for heroes to do it all when what we need is community - lots of people pulling together. Superman isn't coming, it's just us.

If every website removed their paywall for a week, you'd see how much of what's in the Epstein files was covered in real time. And you'd remember what actually happened in the first Trump term and how everything he's doing now was announced then. Paywalls are a massive self-inflicted wound.

The fact that the backpack in that picture has a brand new tag on it tells me it's very likely that ICE didn't return the original backpack they stole from him.

I don't have any polite words for ICE right now.
