The idea that it's easy to leave the US is complete fiction bolstered by a powerful passport. But it takes two countries to immigrate and immigration policies globally, while much friendlier to some people, tend to favor only a VERY particular slice of social and economic reality.

Literally every time I worry about reusing or revisiting an idea I just think of Hayao Miyazaki. If revisiting, refining and reusing the same ideas over and over is good enough for one of the most celebrated artistic minds of the modern era, than surely I can too.
An idea that helped me start creating is that you can, and should, reuse your best ideas. I used to get locked into “Oh I love that idea I should wait until I’m skilled enough to pull it off“ nah just do it, then strip it for parts on what worked the best and do it again

I submit in times like these that one of the strongest protests is to continue to make and share art. The simple act of creation and appreciation in the face of rampant stupidity is a glorious act of rebellion and an affirmation that they can’t stop your joy.

you have to do something more. You have to get involved with actual community, not fandom, and find some jobs that need doing/need help. You have to do material things that will help people who are being actively harmed and no amount of mental health breaks will make it easier so better start now

I often like to point out that these same alpha chad worshiping weirdos try and apply this same thing to other animals when even our domesticated animals are stellar examples of “survival of the friendliest”. Cats and dogs are some of the most sociable and successful species of their families.
We are a social species, and we have always prevailed through cooperation. Caring for our sick. Raising children we didn't sire or birth because they were part of our village or extended family. We are not breeders and predators, we are communicators and survivors. We evolved to UNITE.

Actually kind of tired of the idea that American civilians alone are responsible for upholding international law apparently, and not say, the governments of its powerful allies, the supposed arbitrators of said laws.

This please. What matters from Dems right now is choosing the correct side, which almost all are doing, not the quality of their statements. (Also there's a range from pretty good and inept; marinating in the worst ones rather than amplifying the good ones is a choice.)
