I absolutely do on a personal level want to see everyone who *is* a liberal or Democrat in the Epstein files/emails exiled/purged. Summers, all of them, whoever they are - we don't need these people and they are part of what's been dragging our cause down and losing us moral mandates.

We've figured out how to do Thanksgiving for the three of us on about $40. Roommate is working full-time, but we're in a financial hole from when she wasn't working while grieving her mom, and H and I are unable to work. Hoping we can raise the money for this and our storage unit this week.

This is absolutely true! I happen to have the court order decreeing my adoption, but only because my adoptive dad saved it for me and told me to make sure I got into the safe immediately after his death and retrieved it so no one else in the family could keep it from me. 🥚
Unlike your cabbage patch doll, I didn't come with adoption papers. No adoptee does. In fact, all we're given is nothing but a new birth certificate that falsely lists our adopters as our "parents of live birth". You think we're given some sort of adoption file when we're 18?

An adoptee who receives any morsel of information about their first family is lucky. No one is legally required to tell us we're adopted let alone required to provide us with any type of paperwork. In fact most of us who do know we're adopted can't even get a copy of our original birth certificates.

it isn’t an accident that the strongest statement of a child’s right to their identity, including their original name and family relations, was the work of grandmothers searching for the children stolen and handed out as spoils during a military coup. 🥚
the society i want to see brought about is one in which adopting a child out to strangers and pronouncing them “legally and practically dead” to their families is understood as a war crime and not as a way for celebrities to advertise their compassion 🥚

The reason Mike Johnson is so good at ignoring the terrible things happening in front of him (sex abuse, ICE raids, etc.) is because he's a Southern Baptist, and Southern Baptists are very good at ignoring horrific things. It's the natural progression of a group founded by enslavers

In 3rd grade, I had reading instruction with the 4th graders upstairs, and one day I missed a step at the top of the (concrete!) stairwell and literally somersaulted down and landed in front of the open door to my classroom.
