As a Scotland rugby fan it's infuriating the the SRU continue to treat our awesome women's team like crap. Equally frustrating that they keep getting away with it without consequences. Hard to see what to do as fans? Don't pay to support them seems like a poor option.

worth noting that the second rich people stopped being afraid of mobs tearing them limb from limb, they stopped building libraries and opera houses and stuff and started ripping the copper wiring out of the walls of society instead

It's fascinating that medics are making the effort to switch to anaesthetics with less greenhouse effect while people are driving alone in SUVs
When you go in for a medical procedure, the gas putting you to sleep may also be warming the planet. That's prompting regulators and hospitals around the world to move to less-polluting alternatives.

These can both be true: The Grammy’s don’t have the first clue about metal. Turnstile are far superior to any of the other nominations in that category 🤷‍♂️

People drove by.

"Oh no! Is everyone okay?"

"It's an ICE vehicle"

Laughter erupts and people got out to take photos.

It’s great that they did a major update on the Met Office app and now it looks like shite and gives you an inaccurate wind speed. Cheers lads.

Reminder that it wasn't just right-wing columnists bigging up Trump after the 2024 election win.

Anas Sarwar too was saying how crucial it was to put Scottish business links ahead of silly political concerns

Somehow I doubt he will want this messaging in election flyers now

Ban boomers from social media before teens.
I have a *lot* of friends who have always had strong family relationships start talking about how they're now struggling to even speak to their parents in the last few years.

Every time - their parent's worldview is getting darker and nastier as a result of their media and social media diet.

It's time for my Alexander O'Neal joke again, gang!

*clears throat*

Alexander O'Neal once had to finish with his girlfriend because she was utterly obsessed with measuring and recording the details of various rodents.

ALL SHE DID WAS CRITTER-SIZE.

ICE has kidnapped so many people from their cars that the city had to put out this statement. Let that sink in.
Vehicles that are abandoned due to an ICE detention and towed to the City's impound lot will be released to their owners or a representative at no cost.

Perhaps the most pressing question following that contract extension is whether the careers of those young & talented Edinburgh players, such as Douglas, Patterson, and OBL, will survive two more years of brutally poor coaching?

"If you don't allow parking on the pavement, parked cars will have to block the road!" is just shifting the externalities of the fundamental problem - that there are too many cars - onto pedestrians, and particularly onto disabled pedestrians. If there's not space to pass, there's not space to park.
Unwisely read the comments on an article about banning pavement parking & there's loads of people saying "I never see disabled people being impeded by pavement parking!"

1. Are you paying attention?
2. People avoid routes they know will be impeded.
3. Inaccessibility discourages mobility aid use.
