After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

I want to say something else about Holocaust education today.

One of the earliest terms used for it was "crime against humanity." Setting aside the legal specificities of how this is charged and prosecuted, the term originates in descriptions of the slave trade and Belgian atrocities in the Congo.

Maybe another Brown or Black person's blood won't cry out from the ground.

If you want to tell me that I am celebrating prematurely, I would like to refer you to Emma Goldman, who knew that if you can't dance, it's not your revolution.

We mourn our losses, we celebrate our wins, and we do the work.

AND we don’t just want them bringing this elsewhere.

It’s not “get out of Minneapolis”

it’s “get out of everywhere, get prosecuted for the crimes, and then we salt whatever ground made this happen don’t doesn’t happen again to anyone anywhere”

Won’t fit on a poster but that’s the demand.
THIS!!! They’re not gone until they’re GONE.

We can’t get complacent, they’ll still be here kidnapping & brutalizing our neighbors until we kick them out permanently
dont let a few ICE agents leaving mn fool you. nothing on the ground has changed yet. this is a way for them to distract and give a scapegoat so the rest of the world will turn a blind eye.

I am so so itchy. Not sure if it's the dry air (work was sitting at 9% humidity) or a systemic reaction to....something....but I just want to peel all the flesh from my bones. Especially face and scalp.

Exactly right.

Bovino's leaving? Great, get Noem to resign.

Noem resigns? Great, defund and dismantle ICE.

Go after Stephen Miller too. Bring charges against ICE thugs at the state and local level. Lawsuits. New state laws restricting them.

Every possible angle.
They are wounded and flailing. Press the advantage.

Even when they show signs of weakness or forced regret, we must not give an inch. Authoritarian governments still respond to public opinion, which is why sustained pressure matters. We have to keep making clear that these thuggish actions are unconscionable and will not be tolerated. Don’t let up.

Everything that you think of as a Red State is deeply Purple.

They are heavily gerrymandered with a lot of voter suppression going on. Even with all of that, the votes are often:
- 52% Republican
-46% Democrat
- 2% Other

Republicans aren't in power because of voters, but because of crimes.

I miss mass market paperbacks. They are the perfect size and I honestly want to choke whoever made this decision.

Gentle reminder that disabled and marginalized people can’t “just leave” to escape fascism.

Many are too sick to go anywhere.

Other countries won’t accept disabled people.

Leaving is not the solution.

People are scared. Leave no one behind.

People are definitely setting up a barricade of trash cans and this couch, in the middle of the street where ICE is.

"That's my couch," said a woman standing nearby. "It's been on my porch for four years because it won't fit up the stairs. My neighbor will be pleased it's gone now."
