I opened my bag of Upton Tea's ginger, carrot, beetroot herbal blend. It's a bit sweeter than I expected (not shocking once you actually think about the ingredients) but nicely balanced. I'll happily drink more. #tea

I know my duty: I provided horizontal(ish) human time for Tatum, while Her Human is away. She was Very Pleased. I got ALL the purrs. And then I was a monster and evicted her (after 1.5 hrs). #cats

The Northern lights were pretty great - some of the best I've seen with naked eyes, despite having grown up further north. Phone pics came out better than my camera (never been great at low light). #NorthernLights #photography

Before it got too warm, I took my camera out to one of my favorite segments of the hike bike trail. There are several bridges over the Platte River. Decent bird-spotting day, including a Great Blue Heron and a bald eagle, and awesome insect-spotting day. #photography #nature #Nebraska

SOMEONE was extra spicy today. The best I can say is all fur is still attached (to her sister) and all blood is inside the same entity that produced it. #cats

I think this #knitting project is going to get frogged. Not loving how the yarn is working up. I'll either pair it with a solid or use it for socks. 🧶

I started a new chainmaille project yesterday. Rainbow hexmaille bracelet. The weave is easy(ish) but the rings are teeny - the large ones are 3/32". #chainmaille #jewelry

#blooms from one of my fancee African violets. We're not snobs here - I have mix of fancy ones and random non-plant-store ones. A bad batch of soil (molded quickly and completely once moistened) took out everything I repotted and/or divided, so grateful for what remains. #flowers

Yellow squash with grape tomatoes and an egg, sauteed with za'atar and smoked sea salt. Simple lunch that got the yellow squash out of the fridge.
