Update: Free Little Pantry
You can see in the photo our little pantry was quickly thrown up. Now we are facing winter weather in Wisconsin. We realized we needed a better structure. So we bought a small 22 sq foot shed. We posted that this was happening on social media and looking for assistance to install it as both my wife and I are disabled.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

Three years ago my mother passed. It is never an easy day, but she spoke to me today. As I ran out to get coffee, already feeling blue, the radio played "Every Rose has a Thorn" followed by "Wayward Son."

And my coffee was free.

Well our free pantry might get shutdown. we were trying to get a small shed instead of just a table. Zoning & permits heard this and apparently it’s not allowed in our town. I’m trying to work with the city for special permission. I’m highly disappointed that the city isn’t more flexible.

Headings and labels need to describe the content they are identifying in the content. This means when you have a H1 is should describe the page as a whole. Labels need to describe the data they are collecting. #a11y #wcag #accessibility #development

Headings and labels need to describe the content they are identifying in the content. This means when you have a H1 is should describe the page as a whole. Labels need to describe the data they are collecting. Seems simple. And usually it is. Let's look at some examples of when it isn't as clear.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

There is no reason for anyone to be worth a billion dollars. There is even less reason for a trillionaire to exist. Calling for a top tax rate of 98% on every penny over $1b.
Maths...

If you make $100,000 a year (not bad), it will take you 10 MILLION years to earn a trillion dollars.

If you make a million dollars a year (wow!), it'll still take you a million years to earn a trillion dollars.

Tax the rich.

Boosts welcome!

Congress isn't working. The fed is using soldiers against citizens. They removed due process. They've collapsed the rule of law and centralized power in the Exec branch. Since we don't have representation, why are we paying taxes? I know what my taxes go to. They already removed what I want funded.

One of the issues I often see flagged by other accessibility testers is that something doesn't work with keyboard navigation. The vast majority of times I revisit these, it turns out the tester doesn't fully understand how screen readers work. I want to highlight a few items for folks. #a11y #SRS

“There’s too many Americans on SNAP!”

Yes there are. Too many corporations refuse to pay a living wage.

Huge companyies are encouraging their employees to apply for SNAP because they don’t pay them enough to survive.

The government encourages this & then blames the poor.

If you are short of money, and can get to the market before 9 am keep an eye out for these markdowns. The stores put them out every morning, and if you don’t see them, ask the butcher. And if you can, buy a couple of extras for neighbors who need a hand.
