I license my footage, in which I don't speak at all, to places like CNN, CBS, and KARE 11. I'm working with Mother Jones. I am primarily a writer, who has broken real, investigative stories. I'm not an activist or a fucking content creator, nor am I working in the style of one, thanks. Fuck off.

The officer who shot Alex worked for DHS for 8 years. The officer who shot Renee worked for DHS for over 10 years. Both are considered “highly trained.”

The problem isn’t "training." DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity. We must MELT ICE and dismantle DHS.

If I had to guess, that's probably the truth. But it's not too far away to travel, it's too far away from any medical treatment he might need in an emergency.
President Donald Trump will not be attending Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, Calif., he said in an interview with the New York Post.

“It’s just too far away,” he said.

I don't ever want to hear "what if she were your daughter" again. Statistically the person most likely to abuse a daughter is a man known to her. People defending a President, a man they don't know, will be worse with a husband, father, brother, son, or friend. We have their answer. So do daughters.

The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

The President of the United States unilaterally levied a tax on all of us and is redistributing our taxes to a core segment of his supporters.
Trump: "I'm delighted to announce this afternoon that the US will be taking a small portion of the hundreds of billions of dollars we receive in tariffs ... and we're going to be giving and providing it to the farmers in economic assistance. We love our farmers. The farmers like me ... $12 billion"

Dems took multiple votes in 2021-2022 on the Freedom to Vote Act, which would ban partisan gerrymandering, and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, which would (re-)ban racial gerrymandering. Republicans blocked them every time.
This isn’t true. I was there.

Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. Convincing colleagues to vote with them is the literal job of politicians - if they can’t do that, they can’t do their jobs. They own this shutdown and all of the consequences.

Gonna just say, if it's this easy to protest against the monolith that is Disney. Then there is no excuse for people to be clinging to Harry Potter. Like, if the needle can be moved against Disney, people can make it move against JK Rowling. Stop the flow of money into her accounts,
If you protested Jimmy Kimmel being pulled off the air by canceling Disney+ or some similarly simple action that had clear, direct, effective results, it feels good that you helped get him back, right? The neat part of you can choose another simple action, and keep that awesome feeling going.
