The next most predictable thing is the ballroom will be half finished when he leaves.
I see the most predictable thing ever has happened
Exclusive: President Trump has argued with the architect he handpicked to design a White House ballroom over the size of the project, reflecting a conflict between architectural norms and Trump’s grandiose aesthetic.

Trump wants a bigger White House ballroom. His architect disagrees.
The president and James McCrery had argued in recent weeks over the project’s size, with Trump pushing him to expand the ballroom.

Even stupider: these tunnels would cost more than building the trams we were promised. Rebuild the tram network you cowards.

The stupidest thing about a second Mt Vic tunnel is that the cars have no where to go. You pop back onto 1 lane each way Ruahine St or into the snarl of the basin. Like whats the point. What problem does this solve?

Today, 144 years ago, 1600 Crown troops invaded a pacifist settlement that was the centre of resistance against British colonialism. The leaders were arrested, the settlement sacked, the people violated.

Every "Christchurch is cool now" article is illustrated with a photo of a pedestrianised street with a tram, meanwhile every local election the discourse is like "rip out the cycle lanes, then turn the botantic gardens into a car park? It's worth a least considering"

Once branded the world's unluckiest city, Christchurch is now the 'capital of cool'
Our second biggest city is experiencing the type of revival that should make the rest of New Zealand envious.

This is exactly what a baby trying to convince his doctor not to give him a shot would say.
Trump: "It's too much liquid. Too many different things are going into that baby at too big a number. The size of this thing when you look at it. It's like 80 different vaccines and beyond vaccines."

Nearly 900 fewer people injured since 20mph introduction in Wales

This isn’t good
As predicted: “Oracle [founded by Trump ally Larry Ellison], Andreessen Horowitz [founded by Trump/Thiel ally Marc Andreessen] consortium will control 80% of TikTok…” 9/16/25

Ellison & Andreessen also funded Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover, so this is kind of like capturing Boardwalk & Park Place. 1/
Oracle, Andreessen Horowitz consortium will control 80% of TikTok in U.S.: Report
Current users of the app will be asked to shift to a new app, which TikTok has built and is testing.

Where are all the commentators saying things like "this is a bad look for the embattled David Seymour" or "he has to go"?
So Libelle's problems weren't just financial: Ministry of Education officials warned about food safety failures going back to 2021 and tried to get the group it was part of excluded from the school lunch tender. They were ignored. This should be a scandal. www.thepress.co.nz/nz-news/3607...

New research provides conclusive proof that 20mph in London is saving lives.

14 yrs of analysis at 150+ sites - reviewed by experts - shows:

❤️40% fewer deaths (vs 7% drop on roads where no changes were made)
❤️75% fewer children killed & 50% fewer kids hurt

And slower speeds deliver so much more:

Suppose it were a woman MP who was caught on camera, maggoted and ranting at an event.

She'd be gearing up for a fortnight-long news cycle in which she'd be forced to admit having an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, encouraged to divulge personal information, and made to apologise repeatedly.
