When this kind of fire starts, it is very hard to put out. The tender boughs of innocence burn first, and the wind rises, and then all goodness is in jeopardy.
Please quote post a picture where you were completely happy, and nothing else mattered but that moment.

Things that irk me (one of a long list): People with no concept of where they are in space.

Sure, stop walking right at the exit of the escalator. Have your conversation right in the middle of the hall so that no one can get past.

They should study this government in a lab to see how it's possible to make every wrong decision you can and still function as human beings
I looked into importing gas (LNG) as a solution to our energy woes, and almost no one except the domestic gas industry thinks it’s a good idea.

So why why is a “last-resort” fuel suddenly the centrepiece of our energy plan?

The fuel of ‘last resort’: How imported gas became New Zealand’s first choice
It's expensive, vulnerable to price shocks and terrible for the planet. So why are we importing gas?

Completely off topic but the vicious/viscous swaps always make me laugh.

I simply do not understand the Newmarket train station and why some trains sit for 10 minutes while others going to the same place come and go

I see the Americans have decided to declare war on Italy.
Tiramisù doesn’t require baking, feeds a crowd and actually needs to be prepared in advance, making it a great contender for a Thanksgiving dessert. Cranberry, pumpkin and apple give this creamy no-bake classic a fall makeover with festive flavors.

ibuprofen has made my life bearable. The headaches I used to get as a teenager which were untouched by paracetemol or asprin are completely knocked out by ibuprofen. It's a wonder drug (just don't take too much, you get stomach ulcers)
JD Vance calls ibuprofen "useless medication" and implies it's not "necessary, safe and effective."

What an album! Seeing Kap with Supergroove this year was great too - they should do a full tour of this album together.
King Kapisi's debut LP 'Savage Thoughts' was released this week in 2001, hitting the Top 10. A groundbreaking record for Aotearoa hip-hop, it cleverly combined Pacific flavours with hip-hop beats. www.audioculture.co.nz/profile/king...
