There are many people willing to do whatever it takes to become the 2028 Democratic nominee and it's all of our job to convince them that going full Vlad the Impaler against the Republican Party is the best way to secure our primary vote.

Here is glimpse of multi-unit buildings that are for sale or sold in the last 12 months where the realtor advertises converting the building into a single family house.

All. Across. Chicago. We are making dense, sustainable living unaffordable so others can live in single family mansions.

This is embarrassingly on-the-nose textbook “psychology of fascism” stuff. Bitter, impotent tools getting to feel powerful by proxy watching brutality done on their behalf.
Tim Pool: “I’m not licking the boot. It’s my boot. I voted for it. I’m the one stomping…”

This mindset is genuinely pathetic.

It’s an alpha fantasy: watching state violence and imagining you’re exercising power rather than the one submitting to it.

This is one of my favorite charts because the obvious implication is ... obvious, but you absolutely are not allowed to say it out loud in US public discourse.

we’ve seen 8 different angles of ICE executing Americans in the street and democrat leaders think a bodycam will be what holds them back
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:

Have they changed their opinions? Or have their opinions always been "things that negatively affect other people are fine, things that could negatively affect me are bad"?
Bluesky idea: if people who didn't agree with you change their opinions so that they do agree with you, why not be happy that you are making progress - rather than complaining that they are "only just catching up"?

WOW on Pretti's denial of medical treatment

"I informed the ICE agents that I am a physician, and I asked to
assess the victim.

At first, the ICE agents wouldn't let me through. ... But none of the ICE agents who were near the victim were performing CPR, ... None of the agents were helping him."

This is exactly the same playbook Graham Linehan uses against trans people, where defending trans rights is cast as defending "rape" and "paedophilia." He uses "rape" and "paedophilia" as punchlines, and, therefore, all of his hate speech and advocation for violence against his enemies is justified.

I just want to say that 1) AltWatcher is doing the lord's work and 2) the altnps account, in my opinion, needs to be outright banned - and I don't say that merely because I loathe it, but because it's unbelievably unhealthy for this fake, plagiarizing, qanon-lite account to have this influence.
AltNPS posted about Alex Pretti's murder 25 times since this morning. During that time, they spread misinformation about the shooting, lied about knowing the shooter's name, and generally flooded the zone with shit.

They're trying to milk this story for all it's worth.

CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

Second, like many manifestly disingenuous sentences, this one collapses under the weight of its necessarily vague language. What does "to AVOID violence" mean? Not to commit acts of violence? Or to make sure that you do absolutely nothing that might encourage any ICE agent to put you in harm's way?>

One of the hardest things to do is bring campaign-level communications to the work of governance, and snowstorms are notoriously one of the biggest litmus tests that less-engaged voters use to judge mayoral administrations. This is an excellent way to communicate.

Minnesota ICE-watchers did this.

By relentlessly documenting ICE/BP/DHS abuses—taking on personal risk to do so—they’ve gotten the horrors into more information streams. Got more people to pay attention, undermined Trump regime lies, and shifted the stances of some Democratic officeholders.
