Poignant piece by one of Fetterman’s former staffers.

It’s also a good reminder that much of this guy’s sparkling social media presence was the work of some overqualified young writer from Brooklyn.
"The Fettermans of the world have cut off their own feet, and then gleefully rolled about on the floor, wondering why on earth they cannot walk."
When I Was John Fetterman
I was one of the senator’s most dedicated consultants—until I saw a side of him that made me sick.

I have a bold theory: Guitar Hero is responsible for the worst decade of rock music in half a century.

Guitar Hero peaked around 2007 and quickly declined.

It boosted interest in classic rock, AND YET the 2010s were objectively awful for new guitar-driven acts.

Lovely introduction to game design, distilling decades of thinking by Raph and many others.

I can't wait to discuss it in my classes.

The Authoritarian Stack: a concise interactive feature on the takeover of democratic institutions by tech oligarchs.

The U.S. may already be cooked, but the rest of the world still has time to shift toward sovereign platforms.

Future? No Thanks! Is officially releasing on the same day as GTA VI (whatever that is) so this gives 6 more months to finish it!

To be fair, they basically invented the turgid kitsch style that’s now the default for AI slop
Coca-Cola's annual Christmas commercial is AI-generated again

The company used even fewer people to make it this year

The bad news is that *even in the current climate* liberals, capitalists, and mainstream media will form a united front with the fascists to oppose a center-left candidate.
The good news is that they can be defeated.

There is something truly remarkable about Generative AI.

Several years in this revolution, half of the US GDP dumped to make these tools free, and i can't think of a single generated artifact, text, image, sound, video that had a significant cultural impact.

I spent some quality time in Messenger, a tiny Japan-themed open-world game where you make deliveries alongside other players.
Brilliant level design and sharp, minimalist writing.

It runs in the browser, and you can finish a quest in just a couple of minutes. You have no excuse!

Good article by @im.giovanh.com about a "cozy" airport security game.

Wholesome games tend to reimagine labor -and reality as a whole- as we'd like it to be: beautiful, tidy, meaningful, social... but why would there be terrorist threats in this utopia?

I bought a carbon offset generated by the Dakota Access Pipeline disruption. It won't completely offset my latest flight but every bit helps 📉
Offset Marketplace is a new project in collaboration with @tega.bsky.social. We calculate the carbon savings of industrial sabotage, package these savings into carbon credits, and sell them as certificates. Profits are then donated back to the activists responsible for the actions. offset.labr.io

I enjoyed cooking books for my Poket Boss, the new minimalist masterpiece by @mariov.ch / playables.

It's a game in which you stoke flaccid growth charts and sculpt data like clay, and I honestly can't think of a more relevant concept for 2025.
Need a new job? Pocket Boss is OUT NOW!

I've been thinking about this flash game I played the other day because it reduces the Congress down entirely to "pro oil" "?" or "pro environment" and as the oil oligarch, you just grease
either party's pockets to get them to pass your bills.

One of the better simulations of US politics honestly.
