Drivers simply cannot see people on that sidewalk and the slip lane encourages them to cross without stopping or slowing down. I have submitted 311 requests, and the response is always “this meets design standards” or something similar. Even more shame on Columbus for not fixing this hazard.

Every time I walk by the intersection of Third Ave and Rail St I am dumbfounded by the placement of a slip lane crossing a bike path at a blind spot next to a railroad embankment. Shame on the City of Columbus for allowing this to happen in 2019.
