Once demolished, the developer wants to replace the buildings with…wait for it…grass. I guess it’s better than a surface parking lot, but barely. Why can’t we preserve historical buildings in this city?

Drivers simply cannot see people on that sidewalk and the slip lane encourages them to cross without stopping or slowing down. I have submitted 311 requests, and the response is always “this meets design standards” or something similar. Even more shame on Columbus for not fixing this hazard.

Every time I walk by the intersection of Third Ave and Rail St I am dumbfounded by the placement of a slip lane crossing a bike path at a blind spot next to a railroad embankment. Shame on the City of Columbus for allowing this to happen in 2019.
