In my first draft I wanted to write about three dried flowers as a symbol of love, of friendship and of diversity. They are three small and fragile flowers; I got them pressed flat in a green card, and in the last 25 months I held them in my hands from time to time. I am determined to preserve all of this and to give back as much as I am able to. Because of you, I realize it is worth it to live, it is worth it to hope, and I feel safety wherever I can stand side by side with you, where it becomes necessary and where there is no room for hesitation.
