Really excited about this class I’ll be hosting in my SE Portland, Oregon studio. It’s a three week crash course into illustrated ceramics that will be overflowing with technique instruction within a fun format. Just 2 spots left!

I’ve spent today in a complete catatonic state, I just don’t know how much more of this I can take but I can’t help but feel we’re only at the beginning. A reminder…

Still a little time to sign up for my witchy incense burner class. You’ll learn to coil build little creatures, paint them, and glaze them in just three sessions. It’s like a crash course in handbuilding.

Sorting photos for a grant application and stumbled upon photos of this piece that I feel like is one of my favorites from last year. It’s titled: Useless Vessel

A little trick I have for encouraging myself to work in my sketchbook instead of doomscrolling: my coffee table is covered w/candy dishes that I fill with pens & markers. I try to add a few new ones each month in colors that make me excited. This has worked surprisingly well as an enticement to draw

Being an artist right now, with everything happening in our country and the world, is a weird experience. Getting to make art right now is something so precious but also heavy with responsibility. I cannot help but think of the place of my art in this moment in time.

A little detail shot from my new art comic zine book thing I’m working on. I’m excited about the painting on this page but even more excited about the words. So excited to share the finished book with you all.

It’s hard not to be cynical & feel like Minneapolis & Portland weren’t reacting the way the regime hoped & to speed up their plans for stripping more of our freedoms away in response to mass protests, so they’re provoking us, but that’s probably just the 90s angsty teenage conspiracy theorist in me.

For all you art bros out there, not that you’d be looking at such girly art since you think the feminine perspective doesn’t apply to you anyway 💅
