Just a few things to make sure anyone following me here knows what I’m about:

Trans rights are human rights.

Climate change is extremely real.

Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza.

Nationalism in all its forms is inherently violent.

So is the modern form of policing.

Trump is a fascist.

The more and more I think about it, the more I think Threads algorithmic boosting of posts with replies is making for a toxic cesspool of discourse that is almost as bad as X. So much outrage bait, bad takes, and outright bigotry that get boosted to the feed because folks dunk on it.

we were sitting on top of the most powerful hegemonic structure in human history that allowed us to rule most of the world with only a fraction of the resources required to actually rule the world and they're burning it down because they want to kill people for fun

Bunch of the reddest and maddest dudes in the history of online seeing the vast and subtle American empire and screaming THAT'S PUSSY SHIT before tearing it all to pieces so they can be A Real Man

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed
It’s genuinely wild that the United States spent decades building an elaborate rules-based international order which de facto cemented its permanent status as the dominant global hegemon, sustained by ideology rather than might, and now is just blowing it all up for literally no reason

this was always the trajectory of multipolarism. the idea is to fracture the Atlantic alliance, increase nationalism across the board, and then use the fracture to deepen the split in the US, ultimately fragmenting and destroying it from within.
yeah the subtext of the Atlantic article on the Greenland crisis is that the Euros are freaking out about being squeezed by both Moscow and Washington
This isn't because of some magic America Sauce, by the by. It's because of actual choices other countries have kept making year after year.

The Euros are still far from being able to handle their own defense without us at minimum indirectly supporting them.

At the very least, stop using it. If you want to hold onto your handle to prevent someone else from hijacking it, it might make sense to keep it. Just lock your profile, delete all your posts, and leave it.

This'll create a lot of dead children. That's probably the point, not a side effect. The core MAHA belief behind this is simple eugenics: vaccines are bad because they allow the weak to survive.
The CDC changed the universal vaccine schedule & no longer recommends

Rotavirus
Hepatitis A & B
Meningitis
Influenza
RSV

I’ve cared for previously healthy kids who died from RSV, influenza and meningitis.

We all are going to be caring for a lot more now.

I mentioned this yesterday, but this is a side effect of the phantom economy created by the "AI" bubble.

They're just passing money back and forth to make it look like growth, hiding the fact that things aren't being made, bought, sold, and especially shipped.

If things were good, oil would be up.
Trump didn't wage war in Venezuela to advance the oil lobby's interests. His motives appear much less coherent -- and more superficial -- than that www.vox.com/politics/473...

Remember when Facebook changed their whole name to Meta because they thought the metaverse was the future, and then that completely failed to materialize? This… seems similar.
Microsoft is so fucking stupid.

Microsoft renamed Microsoft Office to Microsoft 365 Copilot App

I'm not joking
