Are you mad at billionaires? Me, too. That's why I wrote this book about punishing them in inventive ways.
Guess why it's called Guillotine.

Mark Kelly's wife narrowly survived an assassination attempt, so it is some measure of Kelly's courage, and Trump's absolute lack of empathy, that he would call for Kelly and other Senators to be killed.

okay #authors, authors, writers... there was a post a few weeks ago from a well-known author who shared how she accesses a group plan through a national company (that basically acts as her employer on paper). Does anyone have a copy of that page, thread, or website?

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.

What is happening at Goddard is absolutely devastating. We are losing history. We are losing an incredible amount of human talent, skill, and knowledge. Rebuilding it will be impossible same for same. Industry can not absorb the people or the equipment. This is undoing space science in the US.
Goddard spacecraft engineer: "I think it just kind of speaks to the atmosphere of the agency and the nation, where people are like, 'Well, laws don't matter for the people at the top anymore.'"
NASA is sinking its flagship science center during the government shutdown — and may be breaking the law in the process, critics say
"There is just a general acknowledgement that a lot of what is happening is illegal…"

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 94th day out of the last 106.

12 days of work in 106 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

Hey, so another piece of advice for people who are S-Corps: there is a company called Opolis that acts as your employer of record and will provide health insurance and other benefits.
If you're a writer/other creator in the United States, consider creating an LLC for your business and then signing up for a local area Chamber of Commerce. Many of them have health insurance plans that pool their members and members of other CoCs to create insurance efficiencies relative to ACA.

I find it amazing too that Republicans’ boycott of Washington isn’t the biggest story of them all.

The shutdown can’t end if they refuse to show up for work.

You guys, I had to go in front of the Landmark Preservation Committee and got my plans for safety renovations DENIED because the changes would disturb the vision of the architect (Michael Graves, deceased) on an under 30 year old building. This is madness.

Hey, Christians!! This is what it looks like to be oppressed for your beliefs!! Rev. David Black, hit in the face with pepper balls while praying. Where’s your righteous anger for his suffering???

Psalms 105:15 “Saying touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”

Don’t worry, I’ll wait.
CW: protester being struck in the head by a pepper ball

Footage I took earlier of the moment Reverend David Black, a regular protester outside of the Broadview Detention Center, was shot in the head with a pepper ball by ICE agents on the roof of the facility.

Okay, anyone else that is watching #SummerIturnedPretty Season 3? Aging Belly up to 21 instead of 18/19 has fallen flat for me where her parents are concerned. I get being upset if your 18yo is getting married, but 21? After 3 years together? It now feels like such a forced plot driver.
