Trump in a room with a very charismatic person results in like half a day of Trump agreeing with everything that person said, so this has the potential to be very, very funny.

Allowing housing in EVERY neighborhood, rather than engaging in perennial piddly debates about tiny sections of Seattle, would greatly ease gentrification pressure in areas like the CD, CID, Southeast Seattle, and South Park because renters wouldn't be confined to tiny swaths of the city.

This is hilarious, but it also made me think about how the political movement that now controls all three branches of the government arguably germinated in an organization that was founded in 1958 on the claim that Dwight Eisenhower was a “conscious agent of the communist conspiracy.”

The default Dem position should be that nothing under Trump is valid.

Trump didn't honor his predecessors' agreements. He didn't even honor his own trade agreements. He didn't honor Congressional appropriations. He doesn't follow laws.

Clean slate. If you rely on him, your loss.
Fully on board with dems running for office promising to reinstate fired federal employees and jail this administration’s various criminals, but let’s go ahead and add “we will seize by eminent domain any national parkland sold to developers”

The most ridiculous double standard in American politics is how the right describes blue cities as war-torn shitholes full of crackhouses, but if you imply rural America is anything but the purest form of American community you persona non grata yourself
This from @jdcivicscience.bsky.social nails why small town, red America is not turning on Trump.

Guys, you're still trying to replace FDR. I told you we can't do it, and we can't do it. Now, what we might be able to do is re-create him. Re-create him in the aggregate.

Built in the late 1990s as a radical experiment in low-car living, it forgoes virtually all on-street parking in favour of active, green, and social spaces. 🧵

Many conservatives who fought against cancel culture on college campuses and championed free speech are now behind a growing crackdown on political expression at universities, in ways that try to sidestep the Constitution’s free-speech guarantees.

Not just grocery, but bars, restaurants, retail businesses, etc. With retail, commercial, and govt services mixed in with residential. Make it virtually impossible for certain areas to have empty hours, which increases security.
