Christine Stabell-Benn
Peter Aaby
Frederik Schaltz-Buchholzer

They wanted to expose kids to Hepatitis B so that they could run a scam trial designed to conjure up problems with a safe and effective vaccine. (And not even a vaccine that is fda approved).
NEW: Kennedy's plan to study Hep. B vaccine in African babies has been suspended by Guinea-Bissau. Experts say the trial is unethical in a nation where 1 in 5 kids are exposed to Hep. B, which can take decades off their lives. HHS: the trial is "paused."

206 House Democrats voted to shut down DHS today. 7 Democrats voted to fund it.

That’s like 3% of democrats. Easily fixable. No need to abandon the party over 3%.

However, 100% of ICE sucks. Abolish ICE.

Can someone on the ground near a detainment camp start a volunteer transport network? People could sign up to drive refugees home, one leg of the trip at a time. Animal rescues have moved dogs cross-country this way for years.
Yesterday, I drove refugees that had been shipped off to Texas all the way back home to St. Paul

Seeing them reunite with their families reminded me this is their home.

So keep sending them to Texas. I’ll keep driving ‘em back and introducing them to Bucc-ee’s and KC barbecue along the way.

I know people keep saying this but it’s hard to communicate the depth of active resistance here. Like, I’m on random cafes and people are checking in for observation shifts. Signs everywhere. Folks in visibility vests on the corners. It’s wild. Absolutely wild.

1. In a major victory, Democrats have managed to get all anti-trans riders stripped from the final appropriations bills.

This includes HHS and Ed, which had the worst provisions in congressional history.

If it passes, it will be a big win for 2026.

Democrats Successfully Strip All Anti-Trans Riders From Final Appropriations Bills
The HHS and Education bills once contained the most sweeping anti-trans provisions in congressional history. Now they contain none.

The president can do a lot of terrible things at any given time, but the president cannot cancel midterm elections by saying that he doesn't like them in Newsweek. It's really important to remember that, and many other things.

Polarization is not the problem. And I am tired of being framed as a radical left extremist in service of a talking point that is missing the moment.

The center of the spectrum of United States politics is meant to be the Constitution and the rule of law.

It exposes directional alignment; you still seek to limit, not expand, who is allowed to be human. Yes, you have set your limitation more inclusively than our fascist gang of white supremacists; it doesn't mean you're not also setting limitations & they'll use your limit as long as it serves them.
I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.

—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.

These will all go to 2026 referendums.

There are many tactics Republicans can & may employ to try to depress voter turnout and intimidate voters. That said, voter turnout can also be depressed by people preemptively declaring the election is rigged. It takes effort to get to the polls, it doesn't help to tell people it's not worth it.
