Heading back to Houston because DHS thinks It’s fine to rip people from their homes, fly them 1800 miles away, and then refuse to fly them back.

Happy update: One of these folks just received approval of their permanent resident status.
Yesterday, I drove refugees that had been shipped off to Texas all the way back home to St. Paul

Seeing them reunite with their families reminded me this is their home.

So keep sending them to Texas. I’ll keep driving ‘em back and introducing them to Bucc-ee’s and KC barbecue along the way.

For those curious how the habeas cases progress:
- DOJ files the stock response to habeas petition.
- Court rejects argument & orders detainee returned. In bond cases, orders bond hearing.
- DHS slow plays and doesn't release or, in some cases, lets them out of jail in TX instead of returning to MN.
JUDGE SCHLITZ: “This Court has been extremely patient with respondents, even though respondents decided to send thousands of agents to Minnesota to detain aliens without making any provision for dealing with the hundreds of habeas petitions .. that were sure to result”

Having gotten my hands on an advance copy, I surely felt many different emotions: anger, disgust, dismay, confusion as to why anyone thought this was a good idea, and bemusement about how this is what Brett Ratner's life has been reduced to.
Melania Trump: "It was wonderful to have so many world leaders with me on Saturday from all different fields, and we were celebrating it and the reception of the movie, of the film, was very warm ... the audience will experience many different emotions"

I think we all need a Kirby halftime speech:

“It’s zero to fuckin zero and you make ‘em never want to play again... Our asses are gonna kick the fuckin shit out of ‘em, physically! Physically, I want to break ‘em, I’m talkin’ bout fuckin break these bitches on defense and offense.”

Dawg I would not mess with folks so secretly depraved Stephen King built a career off of them.
ICE is changing tactics in Maine: "Now, the volunteers in Maine say federal agents have started showing up at their homes and intimidating them or threatening arrest. Some of them, masked and wearing tactical gear, have issued stark warnings not to follow them." www.pressherald.com/2026/01/23/i...

Gotta send them to other jurisdictions so they can’t be arrested here in Minnesota
CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

This ain’t it, dawg
Chief executives of multiple large Minnesota companies issued a public letter on Sunday calling for an “immediate de-escalation of tensions” in the state. The statement came one day after federal agents shot and killed 37-year-old Alex Pretti during a protest in Minneapolis.

My wife is currently on calls with detainees to help them communicate with their loved ones.

If you need an outlet for whatever emotions you’re feeling, there’s work to be done.

In addition to the better-known Hmong, St. Paul is home to the largest Karen refugee community in the US.

Trump terminated their TPS in Nov. Many could be deported to Burma (Myanmar), where they're subject to ethnic cleansing by a military dictatorship.

Including kids who have never lived there.

The combined populations of Mpls and St. Paul is about 740,000 (thats not even counting the metro area). If just 0.8% of us show up that’s easily more than double the goons ICE has sent.
They can kidnap us, they can brutalize us, they can threaten us, they can harass us, they can even kill us but THERE ARE SO MANY MORE OF US and WE ARE UNITED AGAINST THEM MAN, WOMAN, AND CHILD and so THEY CANNOT WIN
All the time the kidnappers waste in vain intimidation attempts against the good people of Minnesota is time they do not spend kidnapping. The kidnappers are swamped, trudging through an infinite slog of resolute solidarity… They do not have the numbers, their productivity decreases, they can't win.

ICE ended up returning the man, Saly, after realizing he’s a fucking US citizen with no criminal record, per his sister-in-law. These fucking animals.

Just learned that the ICE director for Minnesota is a pastor at a church here in St. Paul and given the vibes of that place it makes a a lot of sense.

Something that should give my fellow Minnesotans heart… DOJ is losing nearly all of the habeas cases that have been filed so far. Folks are coming home and they’re gonna keep coming home.

So two of the refugees we’ve been working on getting released were just randomly released from DHS detention.

No notice. No heads up. No clue how to get them back from Texas. But they’re out they’re safe, and they’re (eventually) coming home!

Look, I don't know anything about this dude, but he just looks like a dude who makes suits out of people's flesh. Good on daycares for not letting him anywhere near the door.
Deputy HHS Secretary Jim O'Neill says on Fox that he personally went to Minnesota to investigate fraud but makes clear he found nothing, instead complaining that "a woman in a fancy car spotted us, gave us an unfriendly gesture and actually followed us for about 10 minutes."

McLAUGHLIN: "There are plenty of poems, plenty of songs, plenty of books with the same title."

Well, yeah, dipshit. The phrase literally comes from a song used by white nationalists. That's kinda the whole point.
CNN: There's an ICE recruiting poster that says 'we'll have our home again.' That phrase has ties to white nationalist groups. Even if that's not intentional, do you denounce it?

McLAUGHLIN: 'We'll have our home again' is a white nationalist dogwhistle? There's no reason to manufacture outrage
