The Czechs were just adapting the Anabasis, but the point still stands that this is the most compelling war story from a character perspective and should be used more
the Czech Legion needs to be adapted into more settings, because "we're a third party in this civil war and we're going to fight our way to the other side of the world to get home" is awesome (and a great gaming premise)

Most of the critiques of the Avatar movies are right in a vacuum (not the “cultural impact” ones!) but I do think that they can all be countered with “yeah but did you see that shit?”

I sometimes forget that most people do not see Bibendum 5-10 times a year. Really, the main perk of this industry.

I just kind of assumed he was on the Clippers. That's the vibe over there and I'm pretty sure he was a Clipper at one point.
I think anyone worried that the armor in the Odyssey isn't accurate to 1100 BCE probably needs to do something else with their lives. Nothing in pop culture needs to look like the Greek Dark Ages, ever. A fantasy-inspired, stylized take on the 5th-4th century BCE is very obviously the right choice.
