it’s just … there are now so many instances of them reading as transphobic. like, so many. it’s enough to ask questions and treat them as american equals to british tabloids on the issue of trans health.

I sincerely believe the real cultural impact of Avatar is pretty fucked up and poignant: for most people on Earth, its computer generated imagery of an imagined planet made by artists is the only affordable way to connect to an immersive experience of natural habitats we’ve already destroyed here.
