This is excellent advice! Just make sure that your special Burrow Phone is in place and fully charged first. You wouldn't want to be in your burrow with no phone at ALL, right?
i completely agree that this is the key problem with Bluesky discourse right now: The Circumstances are genuinely toxic right now.

log off.

go scream at an inanimate object.

dig a hole.

continue digging until you've got a burrow.

hide in the burrow.

do not bring your phone

like this is just some dudes wandering around in a loose group with less lethal weapons on them. they are not doing crowd control. they are not doing any recognizable tactic

this is in ~every police manual. crowd control is about CONTROLLING the CROWD. you need to pick ground to claim, form a good perimeter, and then you push the crowd around, either physically or chemically.

i know this because i have read police manuals. they don't because they haven't.

the thing that jumps out to me (I am not a crowd control knower so take it with all the salt in the world) but the feds are all freelancing. chasing guys around for throwing snowballs. half-assedly spraying protestors without rhyme or reason (and having people stay up).

they can't even form a line.

Folks like Hasan *hate* when people read Hamas' original charter, which explicitly states their goal of killing all Jewish people.
Hasan is subtweeting AOC because she said Hamas is bad. he’s honestly so annoying.

It’s bad when:
-Hamas targets civilians
-Israeli settlers target civilians in the West Bank
-IDF targets civilians in Gaza
-ICE targets civilians in the US

I think that killing civilians is bad. it’s not that deep

Costco is the shopping choice of the professional class. It's true that some other people shop there, but if you were a vizier, good or evil, you would definitely shop there, or one of the eunuchs that actually got to do stuff and not just get cornholed

Part of that is that the arson was partially carried out by right-wing nazi nutjobs who wanted to start a race war, and the broader community in Minneapolis did *not* want to play along and indulge their fantasy of a race war.

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

A thing I noted awhile back was that the behavior of the Trump admin felt like something we'd expect from late 2027 rather than ~6 months inβ€”an isolated & unpopular admin that sees itself in conflict w a country thats rejected it. This week has felt like a significant acceleration of that dynamic.
