I hesitate to attribute strategy to Trump campaigns but, to the extent there was a method to the madness, he catered to the anti-interventionist right *and* took advantage of perennial leftist credulity on foreign policy, where they regard Dems as "just as bad as Republicans."

The reason we keep having community squabbles about this is that a lot of antizionist Jews who want to rehabilitate the Bund consider its lack of success basically irrelevant. They're fine with a basically failed ideology as long as it isn't morally stained with the Taint of Zionism. It's a salve.
Like ultimately the Bund was just Wrong about the reality of their world. Whether Zionism is incorrect or not is a standing question, but the Bund just clearly failed, and people responded accordingly to the failure of that ideology to protect them or help them thrive.

Folks really do need to understand that after the Shoah there was no returning to the world conceived by Bundists. Those communities & traditions were literally gone, and in cases where Jews tried to rebuild them they often faced violence & continued popular hatred.

There was no more a conspiracy to hide Bundism - especially not "Bundism" as it is often framed, some lost and morally pure path for proud and resilient Judaism - than there is a conspiracy to hide the miasma theory of disease. It was simply a failed theory of reality with nothing to offer Jews.
