Just lovely to be here.
Oh for someone to live off my shit and build me an extension…
Oh, I love this. A new species of sea anemone was discovered recently that parks itself on top of a hermit crab shell like a hat. It seems to feed partly off the crab's faeces, but it also excretes a hard shell that extends the crab's home. In return, it's carried around the seafloor like a king.

Never normalise this.
The Saudi regime has executed Abdullah al-Derazi, under 18 at the time of his alleged crimes, linked to him attending demonstrations against the regime.

In August, the Saudis had executed Jabal Labbad, also arrested as a minor, in his case for attending demonstrations and funerals.
Saudi regime executes another child offender for attending protests
Amnesty said that the execution of Abdullah was just one of a long line of executions

The sort of cock pic I like to see.
A bronze and enamel cockerel figurine from Roman Cirencester (Corinium). Dating to the later 3rd or 4th centuries AD, the figurine was discovered during the Bridges Garage Excavations. Now part of the collections at Corinium Museum in Cirencester. 📸 My own. #RomanBritain

The Ulsterisation of England.
We cannot understand the emboldening of racists/fascists on the ground without centring the role of the discourse of mainstream elite

This Labour government, anything right of it and any media that does not cover them as enablers are responsible for this

Trigger Point, arguably, has the worst script on TV today. Stiff, cliched pap.

Oh, and those crowds of armed response officers continually appearing like black, armed caterpillars…

I feel like we’re going collectively insane. He said those things, in the same speech, to his rabid followers who then tried to violently overturn the election. Those words were real. Everybody saw it. Everybody condemned it at the time.

This is my worry with introducing competition to the Eurostar routes.
"Ouigoser = to ensh*ttify (col.)"
1/3: Now SNCF is sabotaging its own service.
The 12:11 Paris-Hendaye has been Ouigoisée, no catering, no 1st class, baggage fees.
As a result, I've had to delete the 08:32 London-San Sebastian. Now just 1 London-San Sebastian daytime service.😢

If you love the Elizabeth line, this one’s for you.

Construction has started on 10 new Elizabeth line Class 345 trains at Alstom’s Derby Works, which will help to make transport even better for Londoners.

Nuremburg trials is the moderate position
He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

We were there this time last year: York really does Remember well.
York did itself proud with the Remembrance Parade as usual, and it's always a genuine pleasure to see the city's historic ties with the Free French being honoured within the civic party.

I became politically active as a trans person in 2008 after walking back from my office at the Department of Transport, past the Home Office, and seeing protestors against the deportation of LGBT people to Iraq by the *Labour* government. I joined the protest.

They’ve always been evil cunts.
When Labour were previously in power they legislated to make asylum seekers homeless and destitute if they didn’t claim asylum immediately, an effort in which they were eventually defeated in the courts. The only surprise is that anyone believed this wing of the party would behave any differently
Completely beyond why people try to defend Labour record on treatment of asylum seekers. They are awful.
They have done terrible things the Tories never even thought of, like denying any refugee who came here through irregular means from EVER becoming a citizen & ENDING FAMILY REUNIFICATION. demons.

I used ‘quick vote’ because I wanted to be sure that Restore Trust candidates would be fired from a canon into the sun.

I’m anxious about trawling through so many candidates’ statements in order to find the ones who won’t trash the Trust.

It’s like a never-ending game of ‘Secret Hitler’.
National Trust council elections saw a defeat for the Restore Trust campaign.

35k members voted to re-elect a slate of council candidates endorsed by the nominations committee

12k - 13.5k voted for candidates on Restore Trust slate

Many Scandinavians refer to Denmark as their racist relative. Hmmm…
Denmark steals possessions of people seeking asylum, as policy. It returns people to situations where they are killed.
Mahmood is copying some of the worst policies going.
