Hey everyone,

We literally just added 100 more trans girl scouts to the trans girl scout cookie list. The list is bigger than it has ever been in EITM history.

Go get some cookies and make a trans scout's day!
1. Did you know that Girl Scouts has, for a long time, accepted trans girls and nonbinary scouts?

Trans kids are under attack. Every year, I make a thread of trans and nonbinary girl scouts you can get your cookies from.

Lets get our cookies from them this year in solidarity!
2026 Trans Girl Scouts To Order Cookies From!
This year, consider ordering your Girl Scout cookies from a trans girl scout to make their day!

Following David's lead, I also posted on FB and was surprised by the positive response. Spread the word about what's happening here. People want to know.

Having seen several abductions up close, it is really hard to convey how much the thing they’re doing is roaming in military convoys until they see someone who is alone and isn’t white, and then jumping out in large numbers, pulling them into a van, and screeching off, all in 90 seconds or so.
"“They specifically asked me if I knew where the Hmong families lived on my street & in the neighborhood.” Lugert-Thom responded, “I don’t know anything about that” & she said they then asked, “Well, what about the Asian families?”"

"“I was a bit shaken & a bit shocked of what I was asked to do.”"
A St. Paul resident says federal officers knocked on her door and asked her to identify Hmong and Asian households in her North End neighborhood last week.

The ability to generate sexually explicit, non-consensual images using AI isn't just a matter of online safety - it strikes at the core of the right to dignity, privacy & equality. These technologies are fuelling misogyny & harassment when young people are already overwhelmed by women-hating content

This is what I heard checking in on friends yesterday. People are in hiding, or aren’t but are agonizing over whether they should be, or are trying to reassure terrified parents who want them to be

The scale of this doesn’t seem to be known to even newshound NYC friends w/o Minneapolis connections
"The logical outcome of ICE’s siege is the fear that now grips Minneapolis immigrants, even those with U.S. citizenship, about sending their kids to school, going to work, buying groceries, or seeing a doctor when they’re sick." www.liberalcurrents.com/return-of-th...

He shot her because he chose to. He shot her because he wanted to. He shot her because he could get away with it, he shot her because his actions would be sanctioned and justified by the state. There’s another word for all of that and it’s fascism.

I mean this without scold or judgement, and simply as a statement of what is - one reason the heinous murder of Renee Good is such a terrifying suckerpunch to us white people is in how her killing represents a state terror that is normally visited on Black communities breaking containment in America

The three remaining hunger strikers have been convicted of nothing. Yet with astonishing cruelty, ministers refuse to listen to their reasonable demands, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

‘…the dumbest collective voting decision ever made.’ See also: Brexit.
The American people electing Trump after he staged a coup attempt 5 years ago was a nail in the coffin of our democracy. You can rationalize it all you want - But inflation! But wokeness! - but ultimately it was a societal suicide attempt and probably the dumbest collective voting decision ever made

I genuinely didn’t think I’d see the day when any country - let alone the US - would invade another country and kidnap its leader, whilst ruminating on taking over several more (see: Gaza, Greenland…), and the world would go, ‘meh.’

It is insane I sometimes worry about how well I’m doing my job.

I've been off social media a lot, for me, this afternoon, but catching up and what the actual fuck is wrong with some people. You can absolutely condemn the Israeli government for its genocide in Gaza. If you use that in any way shape or form to minimise the attack in Sydney you need serious help.

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

We HAVE to save our NHS.
Actor James Van Der Beek is selling memorabilia from his film and television career, including Dawson’s Creek and Varsity Blues, to help with the financial cost of his cancer treatment.
